#Cancellation date for a game that is abandoned informally (no announcement only informal forum msg)

One of the devs said that it is abandoned but not publicly (they told me in dm after I asked them about the game) and then released the source code and the last test build right after the dm
Screenshots are the dm between me and one of the last active dev atm

The question is: Could I use the dm date as the cancellation date on IGDB?

actually i've submitted an update for this game 8 days ago

He made it available on his original post so wouldn't that be assumed the date he 'abandoned' it and not when he replied to you?
