hey all, I am trying to remember.... was there a way to mention when a game is ported inside another game? I don't remember if there was a way to categorize that on a fashion like how Pitfall! is within Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure, Super Mario Bros. within Animal Crossing, or how I was trying to put the original Dragon Ball for Famicom on Dragon Ball: Origins 2 for DS.

EDIT: i just remembered another one: Jetpac (ZX Spectrum) and Donkey Kong (Arcade) being ported on Donkey Kong 64. But yeah, you catch my drift. These are games that are not designed as compilations/collections, but they got these handy extras included.

If it is a new game, or a new remaster, released for the first time an extra, we add that game as a Main Game, with the same release date.

Otherwise, if the extra game is identical to the original release, you can change the summary of the game to list the included extras.

Well yes sort of, maybe not so specifically how to get them due to spoiler alert but maybe just something like that it is playable as an unlockable or part of the game etc.

Hey! Although this is definitely a way to capture this information we want to avoid "summary" becoming a dumping ground for unsupported features on IGDB. This can lead to a lot of extra things being listed in summary that don't really fit. I'll start to look into this feature of games within games like this a bit more with our PM. Side note! Although you can suggest that we add a feature to support this in UserVoice, it may be best if we start using discord for suggested features. I'll discuss with @solar karma when he is back from Easter break.

@patent lagoon @austere patrol @spark crown if you all can drop some additional examples of this, that would be great. I know Animal Crossing and the Yakuza series are good ones.

There's also the Castlevania X remake for the PSP. Since the games are unlockable, like extras, it isn't much of a bundle

I'm not sure if It matches with the title but in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, we have something like a minigame called Motor Kombat and It's separated from the main game. Can I apply the same rules?

Yeah we're talking more about games that already existed before, getting ported into another game that is not designed as a collection or compilation.

That said now I wonder, do you think we should be including certain demos too? Crash Bandicoot Warped (aka 3) includes a hidden demo of Spyro the Dragon.

On a different example, Dragon Quest VIII included a free demo of Final Fantasy XII, possibly as an incentive.

We don't usually include demos normally unless the demo offers something unique that is not obtainable in the main game
