#add `bohemia interactive` in addition to `bohemia interactive studios` for all the previous entries

Regardless, all games released before 2011 were rejected, as we would not track the renamed company on games released before the rename
Much like not change titles released before 2016 with Sony Interactive Entertainment. Those remain Sony Computer
We would track the company as renamed (pending evidence), so the original company before the rename would be used for games made before the rename ocurred
this ensures the data is correct
we would not consider that correct
if you want the correct data to be displayed in a different way, that would be something outside of the data team's control, and the #1130790830643359825 channel is only monitored by the data team
We can support multiple companies, as sometimes more than one company is involved in the development of a game. However, we would not track a company and its renamed entity that existed at a later date on the same game page.
I'd suggest re-reading this message
We'll have to agree to disagree there.
It sounds like what you want is to be able to see all the games under the company before and after the rename
which is a display issue
or
fix how the information is displayed
so that we don't store incorrect data
Are you trying to view through the site or through the API?
It's incorrect under IGDB taxonomy
I'm trying to understand your usecase so we can find a resolution that will be satisfactory without changing the data to be incorrect on our side
I'm trying to under stand if you are looking at the API or the website
if you are using the API, you can look at linked companies from renames in your query
if you are looking at the website, I need to loop in our product manager
I think there is a basic miscommunication on the priority of the site. It's not about who sells the title, it's about historical documentation. In these examples, Sony Interactive did not exist yet.
What I'm hearing is that you would like to be able to search through a company's history of games across all of its renamed entities, which sounds like a valid usecase. I will send it to our product manager as something we should be able to better display. In the meantime, we'll have to ask for your patience.

Look at the top of those credits
Tell me what it says
It doesn't matter if they updated the game. It's the name of the developer when the game was released.
It's clear we disagree over our taxonomy, and that is okay. As noted above, I have flagged your use-case with our product manager. In the meantime, we will not be adding the current studio name on games release before it held that name. This is the final word on this issue. Thank you for your understanding.
As asked multiple times, please feel free to send us some evidence that the rename occurred in 2011, and if it happened before the release of Amra III, we will be happy to change the company name associated with that game
Alright buddy 🙂 Time for a quick break
