so that we don't store incorrect data

I think there is a basic miscommunication on the priority of the site. It's not about who sells the title, it's about historical documentation. In these examples, Sony Interactive did not exist yet.

What I'm hearing is that you would like to be able to search through a company's history of games across all of its renamed entities, which sounds like a valid usecase.
