UPDATE:

I was able to connect to wifi thanks to @ionic raft. For anyone in the future wondering how to connect the M5Atom to Wifi after uploading the .ino file on the board:

  1. Connect the M5Atom to your laptop
  2. Upload the .ino file on the board
2.5. Run the 01 on your terminal
  3. Go to your phone -> wifi settings -> select "01-Light"
  4. it will ask you to open sign in page
  5. connect to your 2.4 GHz wifi -> add the server address where the 01 is running on your machine (something like "http://X.X.X.X:10001" where X.X.X.X will be the IP address of your host machine)
  6. then it should connect and the light on your M5 should turn blue.
  7. After that "technically" it should work, but it doesnt work for me so i'm still fiduring that out. When i do i'll update this thread for future references or if anyone finds a solution then update this thread thank you!!

Usually your wifi if it is 5ghz

#

It should also have 2.4

#

Maybe it wasn't setup, but you should be able to enable both networks or switch to 2.4

#

But it depends on your internet provider
