I just installed OpenDeck on a fresh installation of CachyOS and the OpenDeck GUI is just white. The AppIcon is there, just the app therein is not.

In terms of logs, i dont really know how to get to the logs without having a way to get to the settings.

How did you install Opendeck?
What system are you using?

#

Logs are located at ~/.local/share/opendeck if I am not mistaken. Unless you installed the Flatpak.

#

I downloaded the ARM AppImage and installed it with shelly

Also the opendeck logs are shown in the terminal if started via the opendeck command.

AppImage problems, please use the AUR

I will have a look at this tho.

raven phoenix
#

multiple instances shouldn't cause that anyway

raven phoenix
#

why not, it builds locally right?

native yoke
#

#

This was dumb

#

hardy bolt
native yoke
#

#

#

i thought i installed arm

#

but i installed amd which is correct

native yoke
hardy bolt
native yoke
#

Which one should i use

#

does it not matter?

hardy bolt
#

I recommend using either opendeck or opendeck-bin. These two are the stable version. One uses the binary from github, the other builds on your system. It doesn't matter functionality wise tho

native yoke
#

Understood, i will try

native yoke
#

even after installoing from AUR

hardy bolt
raven phoenix
#

Are you actually on ARM?

#

What is your computer

hardy bolt
#

Whats the output of lscpu | grep Architecture

native yoke
#

I ran an X86 version either way

raven phoenix
native yoke
#

i meant amd

raven phoenix
#

please try to delete the appimage, restart your computer and launch from the AUR

raven phoenix
#

could you run /bin/opendeck from terminal?

native yoke
raven phoenix
#

try killall opendeck then run it again

#

it looks like the AppImage is still running

native yoke
#

i uninstalled it though, how is it still there

#

that worked btw

raven phoenix
#

did you quit it properly? that's why i said to restart the computer

native yoke
#

i did yes

raven phoenix
#

if you use something like gear lever or applever then the appimage might be in your menu even if you removed the file

native yoke
#

now it works properly
