How did you install Opendeck?
What system are you using?
Logs are located at ~/.local/share/opendeck if I am not mistaken. Unless you installed the Flatpak.
I downloaded the ARM AppImage and installed it with shelly
Also the opendeck logs are shown in the terminal if started via the opendeck command.
System as in the hardware?
OS.
CachyOS
Not sure about ARM, but in general, the OpenDeck AppImage is not recommended. It has lots of issues and is more there as a last resort.
No worries.
So wayland or x11 means nothing to me unfortunately
Please tell me the putput of echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE
wayland
Did you get a chance to look at the logs?

AppImage problems, please use the AUR
Can ypu confirm that it only is running once?
You can use ps ax | grep opendeck to find out
AUR doesn't build the arm version
it is as it's using 57116 and not 57117
I will have a look at this tho.
multiple instances shouldn't cause that anyway

opendeck-git i mean not opendeck
When i checked the AUR first I didnt find it
oh im dumb
This was dumb
Ignore me
I need to check, but i think it needs to explicitly allow arm.
wait nevermind im fine
it still doesnt work
i thought i installed arm
but i installed amd which is correct
I dont need arm, i need amd
Ok. Then all 3 opendeck packages from the aur are preferred on Arch.
I recommend using either opendeck or opendeck-bin. These two are the stable version. One uses the binary from github, the other builds on your system. It doesn't matter functionality wise tho
Understood, i will try
It is still just white
even after installoing from AUR
Shows that opendeck is running two times if I didn't misreaf it on my phone. The formatting is a bit problematic on the mobile view.
Whats the output of lscpu | grep Architecture
I am not on ARM, as I said, I’m on AMD
I ran an X86 version either way
sorry, didnt see, it's because you said you downloaded the arm appimage
Yeah, my fault
i meant amd
please try to delete the appimage, restart your computer and launch from the AUR
I did this
could you run /bin/opendeck from terminal?
try killall opendeck then run it again
it looks like the AppImage is still running
did you quit it properly? that's why i said to restart the computer
i did yes
if you use something like gear lever or applever then the appimage might be in your menu even if you removed the file
now it works properly
