Discord wont connect

Hi I am very new to linux and I decided to install bazzite now I have a stream deck and I have been trying to connect discord to it for the last few hours and I keep getting this message if I can get some help that would be much appreciated

Are you using the official client or something like Vesktop?

And please try the official Elgato Plugin, since ours is still in Beta.

in opendeck at the pluginsmanager, scroll completly down and press this button. Then go back up and search for the discord plugin.

it said failed to detect an installation of wine

then you need to install wine.

Sorry, Can't really help here with bazzite. I just know, Bazzite has a lot of problems if you want to use it for more than gaming and browsing.

Can only help there with opendeck stuff.

@buoyant pelican use the OpenDeck installation script and it will prompt you to install wine

or run sudo rpm-ostree install wine wine-mono or something

Oh I’m currently swapping to nobara

Because I’ve realized like half of the stuff I need doesn’t work and I also was just recommended it

If I have problems on nobara tho I can message again thanks for the help again tho

Unless you have Nvidia I wouldn't bother with Nobara, just use normal Fedora

For nvidia I recommend looking at CachyOS.

I think they might want a more familiar Fedora base and also not want to use or learn Arch

then just use normal Fedora - it's always good to stick closer to the base unless there's something specific you want

easier to find help and tutorials and fewer issues / more stable

Yes. Vesktop can't be controlled since its missing the neccessary code for that.
