Hello guys! I just pulled Kurogiri finally after ALOT of time and a few accounts lol, was meaning to ask, any budget build? I sadly don't have any pur on him yet :(

I used to run default outfit since it has Open box fast+Blue Mirio’s invincibility

Basically a open the box early build and it would get u lvl 6+ beta very early if nobody contests the loot

Other outfits that come to mind is the red/black fit that can be purchased

Revenge tech with Card dupe if you tend to fight early?

You always want lvl 7 beta first to get your third portal, then dump your levels onto gamma

Tho if you want to fully max beta to make it go even further at lvl 9 before starting to lvl up gamma that works too

Beta 7, gamma 9, then either give remaining lvls to teammates/Or level up a green card you have

Ah yeah. Gamma at lvl 9 i think tp cost less to the point you have time to throw 2 more gammas and tp still. So u can slowfall into the port ext In the air (the portal ext being in aie since swap only works on grounded beta) and not worry about stance swapping

lemil/ibara for box and it has good dmg tunes
lemil / civ rescue. box and early game civies. ok dmg tunings (assuming you can use yendy/yover)
kota finder / shig or afo (use purple cards when u get down on afo) riskier but has good dmg tunings not having to mini pot to full when youre like 20 hp off is nice.

yea. sh / zawa prolly best if u want sh. U get to pot big for free basically, and when u rez in storm and need to green, u have more time if you want to use a blue as well thus saving greens. I havnt used crit perm in forever, but i didnt care for it even when it was op

sh/percep for blue build since his beta full melee combo (esp if you do the melee cancel) is basically strongest combo. Keeping track of ppl u send in storm is very convenient

helps teamates focus people down as well

Lekuro (in ranked) will not fully blue pot with crit perm. He'll even just use a mini blue and thats it and try to stall. So ig that could save resources

I never use willpower in general so refer to Chris on that.

But personally 2nd wind is a lil slept on so that could be viable and lets u play a lil more agro early game without too much worry

And since u dont need alphas, u can save the greens and just lvl them up later. Ig same with not needing lvl 9s even tho its convenient

When youre about to kidnap someone with your gamma, try to throw an alpha in real fast, MASSIVE damage and if you see someone clearly looking for somewhere to heal you can catch them once they stop to drink and a lot of times you can straight get a k.o. from that, and even if you done you know they're within one combo of death. On that note beta into alpha is one of my faves

its just about getting the distance right so that the portal would naturally spawn ontop of them

IDT there's any particular trick, it's just getting used to the distance, and then creating a portal that goes far, and dropping the start point on someone

Yeah it's kind of a practice makes perfect thing

It's not really something you're like, supposed to be able to do, per se ya know? Like not part of the kit you'll ready about in the move descriptions, just something you can pull off using the kit just right

I should've mentioned, you need to work with the knowledge that your entrance portal is going to appear a set distance away from where you are facing at the moment it spawns, secondly that that entrance portal will spawn at the exact moment your exit portal gets to its location. Once you understand those two things just take it to training and youll get it down quick

Unfortunately this season the bodies keep getting thrown back so you may have to do it more than once 🥲 I've found throwing an alpha or two at them real quick before sending them sometimes helps them not get thrown back but not always

But honestly you should always hit em with an alpha or 2 first if at all possible, cuz you will lose kills assuming noones gonna run out there and get them

I usually try to follow and throw them even further and then I'll heal right around a corner just hoping one of their teammates comes 😂

Go in training. You can set bots to kuro / uraka and go toga and use special on urself then transform to kuro (if u dont wana use tunings on basic skin. Swapping characters resets tunings)

Wr better for chasing and running imo. Portal smush helps with it.

Sh in general just avoids damage , doesnt need walls, helps with setups and wakeups. Better late game if you know how to manage portals / loop well. If ur getting chased, wr isnt doing too too much cuz not much wall.

Wr is more fun though and helps early game more so imo.

And wr helps save more ammo

Crit lvl 11 u can full pot on soft stagger. I abuse that with cem.
Kuro in theory should be easier since gamma gives armor, and u can tp or beta quickly after it activates to still have iframes.

u dont need sns with tf. wman taught me that with his momo build that didnt have it. Kuro can pot more safely than momo can

sns way more forgiving on when you can rez, since u can at such low hp. That and easier for portal things. But portal things can be done still, and managing for the rez can be done as well.

also has a tf/ villian purple which is prolly meh. Id honestly say purple dabi would be best as you can kinda waste ur ammo and if u get broken ull have it back in time to do w.e u need to save teamates. In essense lets you be more offensive if you wish

so you dont gota manage and hide as much. Yafo is similar, but cooldown is 35 seconds? 100% for 10 seconds.
with dabi you can kinda intentially get your cd back by inting or not fully blue potting.
50% for 20 seconds. And if you pop a single purple card then you'll have all the reload you need

Yeah it's hard to survive with him in the last circle, but remember you can still take a green pot if u have more than 250 hp

so you can still marinate in storm

Aaaaah that’s funny, portalling people after they plus ultra has always been something I thought of being funny but I’ve found it hard to do due to most of the time being mid air causing myself to be thrown away, but it def looks fun to do if you can not get knocked back

Now thinking about it, with the insta teleport beta, does the portal spawn on top of you or in front of you like it would normal, or does it spawn directly on top of you causing you to insta teleport I wonder, because if it’s directly on top of you I feel like that has some cool opportunities

to fool proof you would need all u 3 on same team, a random host not on a team (assuming host didnt play in ur customs) and a kuro on an enemy team

or just him and the same person he played with in the most recent tourney, and then a random third

Kurogiri does have a lot of moves they can pull from alls justice so I could see something

Feel there are a few factors to skill sets and why some come earlier then others, like Kendo I felt she came because Monoma was being made for example

Others are connected to character like Kiri and Denki

And just pure popularity, like rapid might, and the general starting order of skill sets since they were usually the key characters until I’d say S8’s Kiri

tho at times there really isn’t a pattern for which quirkset can come out

From info from a different server they speculate it’s a double rapid season

season 14 armor might tech shig = double tech

I feel like kurogiri’s skill set could be

Alpha could be where he teleports projectiles near him and uses those projectiles to fire at enemies

Beta can Mayby be where instead of teleporting himself he can spawn portals that will lead to his Allie’s, practically teleporting his Allie’s to him or the other way around, and Mayby if he’s in aim mode he can do a short teleport for a form of mobility

And for gamma Mayby he creates a giant dome which prevents enemies from leaving, and to escape they either wait for the move to run out or they just have to deal a decent amount of damage to him,

So atleast to my understanding there’s 2 ways to send people to storm correct me if I’m wrong

1. You can beta them to you and then back up alittle while you charge up a second beta going in to storms then angle back towards the person and you could send them out, this methods alittle less reliable, oh yea this method doesn’t really need the first beta, it just helps with positioning for me

2. You beta into storms, then jump above the portal then gamma, then your body will fall slowly into the portal while your in your gamma, after that you can use the gammas beta to send people to you which you should be in storm,

I still do mostly, it's a beautiful thing to know how to do but it can definitely be risky business. I've found it helps to throw them with beta after a pull and then hit gamma as soon as you step through to stop your momentum so you're right on top of them since they're just gonna dead drop from the exit, and then you're in a good place to throw a beta down at the ground/their body
