For strike hawks I've learned that in a 1v1 you can hold Alpha and once they stagger melee attack and if it's 2 or more people you can use gamma (y) after they're staggered by holding alpha, that's the best combo I've found with strike hawks

I would use beta for when you're rushing into a fight or trying to leave one after your special runs out

Rapid is still very fun. He just takes some learning unlike other characters. Another key thing to note is how he lacks the ability to reload in the air so just try to touch the ground as much as possible

Honestly I prefer Strike Hawks at this point. It took some getting used to because his moves didn't pair as well with his special action as Rapid does, but once you keep playing him you alter your play style a lil (which is expected). He feels like Hawks perfectly for me, just more focused on damage than movement, but even then his movement is SUPER good. Maybe can't stay in the air as long, but it's a lot faster for me which I like. I love his combos and the high damage he can put out all the while being able to get away at a moments notice.

While already flying, press the special action button again to do the wing flap, and immediately afterward tap his gamma. He goes SO fast in the direction you're flying in. I've escaped many fights I otherwise wouldn't have (and rushed to my teammate's aid) by doing that and could actually conserve my Special Action quite a bit by doing so.

A bit long winded but ye, while I enjoy both I definitely prefer Strike Hawks at the moment : )

Depends. A quick beta beta is taps.
But if the person falls into iframes. You can hold it and release to catch the wake up. That takes timing and guessing. Lot of watching your opponent.
In the heat of a battle most will tap beta beta

The cool think about hawks is you can mix and match his combos

The more you play him. The easier it will be to judge iframes and how and when people will recover. This will help feed into combos.

It was an adjustment at first going from rapid to strike but really enjoy them both

i currently have spacehop + kota finder, great for support and stuff and spacehop is kinda just there, i dont use it that much but its chill and idk what else i'd add to hawks

i was considering quick heal for that special action flying heal + the escapability he has is amazing and i do really need to heal a lot with him then i could do kota finder with that, what do you guys think?

I think the play tbh is to gamma during her beta. Gamma pushes you up and away along with grabbing anything stars pulls in.

Beta is 8.5s levels do no decrease the cooldowns. This is why I run max gamma or beta reload builds on rapid hawks. Qfr was good but the nerf hurts it on him because hawks doesnt reload in the air so the tuning is usually burnt by the time you touch the floor.

He’s a combo character so smth new always pops up and different situations require different inputs

Try to use the spA conservation techs when needed

And most importantly have fun!

every single one of my Cyber builds. my most used is Villain and Heat. Heat i dont think i like twisted and am going back to divine or revenge support. i only just got enough data to test it lol. Combat you can put QFR in over Embrittlement. i do not own YAFO so that's why that data isn't there.

When i build hawks, rapid or strike, i slot reloads in the skills that have the longest cooldowns like gamma and beta BUT i do see a lot just focus alpha damage and reload so that is up to the player what they prefer

Make your target the end point so you end on them with beta. The beta hitbox is bigger in front. This prevents them from "falling out" of the beta.

You can yes. If you dont think you're close enough for a gamma you can also immediately melee. The melee usually pulls you towards the closest target and then gamma after m1 or m2. M3 usually puts them in a knockdown.

Parallel world fancy is probably your best option. Its a yellow - green hero build with great damage tunes.
I reccomended embrittlement and quirk factor release for the yellow spot and divine protection for the green spot.

If you want to use a good blue slot build then look into formal suit dangerous as that gives access to wall run and accel (his best 2 tunings imo) with divine protection (which is also top 5)

I say it’s hard because most ppl know not to press right there, but you read him not knowing which is tuff.

I just assumed if he pressed space there to recover mid air he’d immediately use an action after (and cause the recovery time mid air is really short once you recover)

Cause usually smart people just drop to the ground first because it gives them more time to recover

their cooldowns and stuff, maybe even stalling for a team heal

I run Willpower and revenge assault on the Cyber hero but it's an old build I used since rapid Hawks first came out and I just haven't made a new one

I do crushing PU on Villain with GP sucker or card dup and max gamma reloads.
Heat is a sleeper build. 5 strike slots to fill. Divine and warp heal or twisted work well.

I've swapped Crushing with SAFO tuning on my alt and it also works pretty well.

No. It used to be very incredible but due to a large amnt of changes made to both strawks and wall run this season its no longer that crazy.
That said id refrain from making builds for now since its highly likley that next Tuesday will nerf him and its also likley that the way wall run interacts with auto dash and flight characters may change at the start of next season

I remember when the fit first dropped i genuinely got so excited because it is quite literally how i would design a build for strike hawks if i were able to put any slot in any spot with the only issues being
2 green slots, id reduce this to 1
Strike villain slot, not bad anymore thanks to strike afo

Its one green slot away from a literal perfect build and thats so funny as i believe strawks is closer to the absolute ideal than deku is
