When should I alpha?
in a close range situation alpha can give more burst damage vs gamma
if you rely on gamma too much (especially early on in a fight) you go from being able to kill someone in 1-2 interactions to 3 or 4 simply due to them constantly getting knocked down
if you’re going against someone aggressive be it chasing or defending you’re probably gonna trade with them and go for clap if they try to hit you away
but otherwise i’m almost always keeping the pressure up with alpha because it adds up way faster
clap knockdown gives your opponent time to compose themselves before making their next move while flanking someone with alpha is something they can’t just react to if it happens by surprise
its why i would never start a fight with clap unless there’s no other option and i need to get a hit in

the gamma has a way longer startup compared to the alpha too like jacklyn mentioned

an alpha should at least be able to kick in a little bit more damage compared to gamma which have limited charges and gives full iframes upon getting hit

- take off GP sucker and replace it with wall runner
- the instant your endeavor died you should have just left while they weren't looking at you
they may not have known you were their teammate if you hadn't went to grab his res piece immediately
and thus wouldn't have aggro'd you like that
times like those you have to just wait and accept that ur teammate is cooked
you also need to be very careful trying to pop shield directly after a wakeup
because like any other attack or action in the game, you'll lose your iframes
kendo's shield still has a 24ish frame startup (nearly half a second) and you can get hit during that time
so sometimes its better to either delay your wakeup entirely or just wait the full length of your iframes before doing shield

as you know, you have 2 different jumps in the game
the forward jump and the vertical jump
standing jump is obviously way higher
and while they patched out speed cards/wall movement in the past stuff like this still slips through
so by running up a wall, and doing a neutral jump will result in you getting that
the longer you run up the wall the straighter ur jump arc will be
the second you press any movement direction again you'll stop rising
and can move in any direction you want so long as you can turn your character

when you RUN off a ledge (not roll) and aim in, you can fully rotate the direction you go afterwards
you have to do it asap
the later you try to aim in and swap directions the less control you have
and something important to point out is that you DON'T have to cruise with it
the sooner you just look in the direction you want to go, the faster your character will turn and thus the sooner you go in that direction

i would advise not trying to use shield to defend yourself mid-combo
like i was telling someone here the other day shield has a considerable amount of startup before you can do what you're trying to do
opting for roll or the more aggressive option (clap) is typically better
