So I’ll start with Sa

Don’t use it

Only use it if you know your able to

It’s a win or death move

I’d say it’s only use is if you have a opening or a shield like kendo or momo

Alpha

Alpha is ofc your bread and butter

It’s an item that takes time to learn

It has a range and a fall off range

But you can actually do two things of dmg with it

The marble and the truck

The truck is the biggest amount of dmg but the marble is more strait forward in melee combos

Memorizing the drop off of the barrels, meteorite, and trucks is integral

If you want to maximize alpha dmg, team up with a red dabi. You will see incredible dmg

Then next gamma

You might be tempted to spam gamma, but DONT

This is a rookie mistake

You most hold onto your gamma, and use it to get hight or change your angle in battle. This gives you the advantage

Don’t use your gamma mid battle tho, unless you’re at least 10m away from the enemy. If you gamma mid battle it’s a death sentence being ready to happen

I often don’t even use my gamma at all, because being on the ground gives you much more control of the battle IMO

Then the beta

This is the item of a compress that shows if your skilled or not

It’s an item that not many even use

The parry mechanic is very useful but parry’s not much

Especially speed toga and principle mike

These two for some reason have projectiles that go through your shield

The shield also has a sad delay time where if you pull it out you often don’t have time to react to a melee attack. This is why you should never use beta in fights where you’re close to an enemy. Unless it’s a momo

A momo u must press with a beta unless they come to melee

Also don’t forget to use compress smoke screen as an advantage to revive with sa or heal

It’s a clutch in endgame sometimes

To understand it much easier

Don't hold a directional input while doing the first melee, it won't work

You do the first melee then wait until the partical effects to disappear or almost disappear, then do the second melee, then hold in any direction you want to cancel the endlag

You can hold the directional input to cancel at any time during the second melee

Sometimes you have the resources to do silly things like the “domain expansion, truck rain” but outside of level 9 gammas or fights you know you’ll win it’s just not worth the risk of it failing

1. There's also Gamma so if they get too close to you, use that, Note that you can still take Damage while doing the animation, so use it carefully if they're close to you. Also note that if you use it, and Compress lands on the ground (for example, you aim it on the ground while you're literally on the ground) he's gonna do a Painfully long animation to get himself back up, so always aim somewhere he won't touch the ground unless you're safe enough.

2. His Shield is supposed to a Parry, that's his main Gimick for it. It does also Shield, but doesn't reflect back, I've had that issue before, but atleast it blocked 🤷‍♂️

It's a projectile that curves downwards. With every shot keep an eye on your marvel whether it's flying over before or bouncing that gives you an indication of where your cursor should move. Luckily with compress you have a lot of leeway when it comes to hitting your shots, one hit gives you stagger time to readjust, multiple hits and they're already hard knocked. It'll take some time

But this is because a dead compress has more worth dead then being revived late game

This combo wouldn't be possible with season 1 compress because gamma would've taken too long

And it had a really slow startup

This buff has been by far the most impactful for Compress' viability imo

It was abysmal to use in season 1, for anything

Now it's probably one of the best movement tools in the entire game and can allow compress to chase almost anybody

And reposition in almost any situation

I should have gone in for the melee first, I sold in the freight of the moment

Delay his second melee attack then hold a directional input

Always use beta when approaching Momo around corners. Most of the time they'll do this

Also listen so for the sound cue of her cannons

I try to, but most the times in ace lobbies they dodge their own alpha then melee me

In most scenarios I try and just keep distance from momo, because holding my shield up for to long of a point like that leaves my back open

I’ve been using it in raked match final circles recently and found it blocked more then expected
