you would deal more damage when hitting beta vs gp specifically. I feel like using beta damage instead of hp makes sense if

1. you wanna meet specific thresholds, like 2 shotting rapids
2. beta does a bit over half of your total damage (this will likely be the case if you don't level alpha as much)

also kendo should be equipped either way. it's the best beta attack effect usually and for him imo likely the best strike sub slot overall

Tech Dabi is a popular pick, especially for beginners so the devs assume the character is doing fine. In fact the reason he gets shadow-nerfed so much may be because of his popularity

It's why Strike Shig got the most dumb nerfs before. He was already struggling but he had the top pick and damage rate, so the devs took that at face value and thought he was doing too well.

Meanwhile Tech Toga got buffed because she saw very little play for a long time.

lol think I’m lying? his level 1 on all of his skills are subpar, get all to them to 4 at least. then max any of his skills to 9 & profit. Alpha is a slow but decent pressure tool, especially when using jump pads, acceleration, space hop or wall runner. Beta, good for being sneaky, in buildings, and learning not to over-commit. Gamma is good for aggression and defense. But despite that, even with one maxed, whether it be alpha, beta or gamma, it serves a purpose. Plenty of times where a gamma would’ve killed but you had it on 1-4 & not 9.

I feel like alpha before beta is the way to go nowadays for Strike Dabi.
His beta isn't as oppressive as it used to be unless smothered in attack tunes, and he gets easily blown up for using it anyway.

it doesn’t seem to be working out for you if you’re dying with your special action often. I’d give you some recommendations if you want

you can use muscle form, indestructible & critical permeation, then you don’t have to worry about your SPa not working

Dabi has been my main since season 7. I don't want to use a tuning solely for his special action; I find the Tenya tuning too important for mobility and the Yafo tuning too useful for landing a second Gamma immediately after knocking down an enemy.

Let's just assume that for s15 they're gonna do their best to make the game enjoyable for the players! A number of older characters may be getting touched and that may take place over the course of the season! I'm not saying any of this is confirmed though so any mods looking at me feel free to look away!
