Also a lot of sweats play Unranked, the earlier seasons they kinda stayed in Ranked but that's not been the case for a long time.

I like it on Shiggy because he can quickly fall whenever he needs to, but Dabi doesn't have that same agility and the floatiness might mess me up more against players with good aim.

Tech ive got on a cyber build but you dont have that 😔 but both hoodie and white hair have heavy red slots. I think its the pink hood and red jacket? If you want to just go hard into damage

there's moments I pop gamma just for movement with beta and then instantly deactivate it again after. Also when an enemy is getting hard knocked down and there's downtime I sometimes use that time to reset my gamma (deactivate and reactivate it again around the time they wake up), so I can essentially stay in gamma longer, I also cancel it when I want to go for a finish on a downed enemy so it doesn't mess me up etc. So I do cancel it a lot of the time.

I stopped using wall runner due to annoying it is to use on maps like chaos city. It's a great tuning for dabi and I don't mind using it, but if it wasn't giving me so many issues, I'd go back to it. Personally, I just work with what fits with my playstyle a lot and unfortunately Dabi only has few actual good options for tuning

This could be a outdated one, but still a good defense choice. Why I pick indestructible instead of revenge assault. You get flinched away hella by these new characters now. Revenge Assault relies on you getting your guard broken and putting yourself in a unfavorable position. Meanwhile, Indestructible getting buffed and be used from you getting a KO. In a 1v3 and you can't wake up without shii getting thrown at your face now that'll be happening less. And "gamma doesn't have armor", now it will.

outdated, don't use it. if you use it, just use it as a casual build. W wall runner and triple gamma reload though. Support one has that already though.

That was one of his main issues before. And the other one only has 2 betas he'll do damage for and no escape option. Only thing that's kind of a L is no attack powers but since tunings got nerfed to where most of those normal tunings are additions instead of multipliers now. it is what is now. Be a Rapid Dabi. 💀

Imo this is what they need to do to actually make tech Dabi better

1. Buff alpha dmg
2. Buff tracking
3. Buff the speed of the projectile
4. Buff the amount of traps that can be placed on the map
5. Buff the cooldown on gamma
6. fix the bug of getting attacked by your own trap
7. Fix the special action bug

When i think about skill I think about counter play and even when does that he is very exposed

i attack from above with him vs head on. keeps him safer from taking damage pre beta. but he is a single target focus. a strike dabi should not be trying to 1v3. it can be done but i dont recommend it.

But tech Dabi should have a buff to SEE who trigger the traps it’s much better for him and I agree with you with no infinite trap placements but they do need to increase how many you can place and they should let you see them from afar sometimes you just have to remember they are there (in a random building) it’s just preferable that they can be seen by teammates by afar

2- focus on 1 enemy in teamfights

2- dont rush in mindlessly and try to catch enemies off guard

3- when chasing dont let your gamma run out turn it off as for running away you can let it explode if you take a corner or go inside a building to push them off of you

an inoffensive route would probably be:

• beta 4 (can be delayed if you expect your first fight to be in a very open space, this would mostly only ever apply on U.S.J.)
• gamma/alpha 4 (idk if I'm qualified to say which one first, I do gamma personally, basically as I understand it the tradeoff is alpha at lvl.4 deals a lot more damage than level 1 and is bigger, so it will hit more often and deal more damage, whereas level 4 gamma deals a lot more damage as well, in addition to being bigger and lasting longer (you can now safely drink small potions inside it if the enemy is far enough away/can't invade your shield). My preference would be gamma)
• whichever one you didn't do or if you did gamma 4 there might also be the option to just max out gamma, then do alpha 4 next
• do whatever is left to reach 4,4,9
• beta 9 I think, maybe there's an argument to max alpha

as for not being able to sprint while using alpha that's kinda standard for projectile characters, and is why you tend to always dash jump around while shooting on any character using projectiles (with exceptions like assault ochako that get stuck either way). As for beta you similarly get slowed while using it on the ground, so a lot of the time using air traps is superior. There's also the option of jump ground traps where you jump and immediately place down the trap to where the game still thinks the trap was placed on the ground, but you don't get the slow, so that's a strat for if you want a ground trap for some reason but also want to stay mobile, esp. useful for finishing downs I think.

curious, I never really noticed that cause I'm playing on hold sprint but now that you mentioned it I can see the delay before the sprint picks back up, however if you alpha right after leaving the ground this won't happen, so I assume his alpha has a lot of endlag, and if you land before the end lag has run out you will be slowed. This makes me think that it might be possible to get the slow on deku too if you shoot late enough

yeah it is possible on deku too

but you need to delay your alpha a lot to be slowed upon reaching the ground as deku

or maybe it's even somewhat similar

but definitely a bit longer end lag on dabi I think

esp cause for dabi's fireballs to not get stuck in the ground you sometimes have to wait till you're higher up, basically forcing you into taking the endlag

but that is a curious thing I didn't know about

probably yes (I don't see any reason for it not to). My thoughts on spiraling leap on tech dabi are that it greatly helps your mobility if you don't already have space jump or wallrunner but it probably makes placing low air traps a lot harder which is mostly why I've never tried it

but I have seen dabis run spiraling leap before and it seemed at least interesting, though I personally probably wouldn't run it

but it should fix your sprinting issue

most of my clips are unlisted because I lost interest for this YouTube stuff, lot of things going on in my life than just this. I got a job since 2024, stick drift hella, fighting stacks 24/7 while I'm solo queue because my allies abandoned me, new additions in the game are always better than the next. especially the ones getting buffs and my main is sitting humble, no buffs needed, switched my controls & I STILL be putting in work on these lobbies. but just because some ppl barely post gives no right to judge how they play imo. I'm still getting required, criticized & contested when it's painfully obvious that I did everything. hit top 50 in season 3. hit ace twice in season 4 with fighting the strike shiggy overbuff. x3 ace ranker in Season 12. had plenty of 1v2-1v3 interactions against top players and come out unscathed. 10K damage plenty of times on ranked with tech dabi. I even surpassed my strike shiggy 11K game with my 12K tech dabi game. fighting in seasons when exploits were running wild and still putting BTA. countered the big bad characters were going to be such a "terrible matchup" for me. and mfs gon be still like "aw just drop him he's F tier man" . I can name 5 or more characters who can't hold a candle to him imo. and he's by far my most wins on a character. my message is here, to even to any newbies on this game, you're all good players. Respect y'all for even sticking to this blueflame brightburn Mr. Daddy Issues guy. just gotta put your money where your mouth is.

you can either start with beta first if you're trying to be more sneaky or gamma if you want to be more oppressive. beta is more for UA. and gamma is more for areas like chaos city and USJ. do your best to make it at least 4-9-9 if not 4-9-4 or 4-4-9

and I'm probably only one of the few who knew this but Technical Dabi also used to have a glitch where he can get his full GP back for free if you put the edge of his ring of fire on a downed enemy and go up to initiate the finisher animation and you’d get the GP for free without actually finishing. Pretty sweet tech/bug.

(they patched it in like Season 7 or so but that’s why we have High-Speed Replacement now)
