Hey! Found some combos for Technical Denki, since that seems to be the big thing for now.

I think that playing with these combos in mind is probably better than just sniping with charged alpha, as the combos do pretty good damage- and a good chunk of them don't use up alpha shots- or at least still leave you with some to work with

I have the impression that technical denki is inferior to strike (except if you play high up like a post to snipe players from afar)

-his uncharged alpha has a worse range than kendo and only does -40 lv 9 which he hits with one or more projectiles
ok if he paralyzes the damage increases quickly, but he has no armor so either you have people by surprise, or they have better melee weapons and if your beta does not stun when they are triggered (for me sometimes he does not stun, the adversaries continue to attack like blue toga, twice or ochaco who do not however have armor) you have to run away

-The gamma is less good at start than the Denki Strike (it has no hit at launch so it has even less priority and only recharges when Denki is on the ground fortunately it does not lose its charge when you cancel your hits, recharges faster and goes further

-The gamma cannot hit the same person twice (it is almost invulnerable if you pass over it like hawks, only the explosion works)
So I really don't see any point in paralyzing an opponent during his passage other than giving his kill to someone else

-beta does less damage against a wall because not all hits work when they detect an enemy

-sometimes the loaded alphas come back towards the launcher as if the aim had a problem even if in front it is a bot which does not move

-charging the alpha is long, at least a second wait to make a hit at -30, given the range of the uncharged alpha, it's really not crazy when you're fighting since denki has no protection or armor in melee (yes the damage increases very quickly but I would prefer it to do at most 90, doable during a fight than 550 at a distance when playing campy and being able to do almost nothing once you attack it at medium or long range)

all the quirks don't really change the meta of the character, always the same problems against the same characters, except that now if he camps far away he can hit the Nejire

overall you always play sneakily while waiting for your target, collect the crumbs and hinder from afar to support the allies

even for his combos, there are not many variations, overall it's beta + alpha then the opponent barely falls Shieldbreak

In itself it's good but less good than the strike which does much more than Shieldbreak if you succeed in a combo

he does too little damage or takes too long to charge his alpha, his combos are much less good and less original, I personally stick with his basic set

I mean... His orignial set is STRIKE. Whereas Strike Denki has pure damage, Tech Denki does branch out a little with his Beta, and has longer range (which, with special action, getting 70ish damage on multiple people isn't all that bad), and he simply trades his damage for having other applications and more mobility.

He doesn't do less damage, he's tricky to use, so you have to make setup plays, you aren't the press two gamma then alpha guy anymore, you got to plan ahead, you've got multiple setups to help you beat most characters in the game, his beta is a great tool BUT I think gamma 9 is best if you want to play him like his older counter part

I'm sure you've seen console players able to move with Tech Denki's Gamma a lot easier and make sharp turns while we have to aim weirdly to get the turns we want.
Well as I suspected, it's tied to FPS! If you set your game to 60fps or lower, Gamma will be way easier to control!

Lightning quirk is absolutely useless almost every character in the game has a counter to it and it takes far too long to do any amount of damage. The most you can get is out of unaimed alpha blasts which mostly every ranged character has a better unaimed alpha burst

How would you suggest doing a 1v3 with Denki? Most can run away and just heal and he doesn’t have much to push with. He’s fun in solo quickplay but it’s hard to carry as denki in ranked. I usually have to solo my matches because my teammates die and leave within the first 2 minutes of almost every match and there just doesn’t seem to be as much potential compared to someone like Aizawa

I'll agree he can't exactlyyy 1v3 and if your teammates are dumb af it becomes harder to actually enter a fight, but that doesn't mean he's trash, his playstyle isn't just made for rushing.

Also tech denki combos can actually delete health bars

Unfortunately I think he would be great for teams or completely solo against other solo but in ranked almost no one sticks together and they don’t have a solo ranked. For purposes of ranked you have to have god tier luck of either getting a team that sticks together or find someone who’s actually online when you’re looking in LFG. He’s a fun character but unfortunately due to the player base it’s hard to actually get as much use out of him. It feels like no matter what rank I climb to no one fights together.

I don’t really do much quick play either because teammates leave even faster than ranked and it’s almost impossible to randoms to stick together

he has near infinite stun time if you know what you're doing with the character

With Denki, you want to be as ANNOYING as possible .
Level Up Paths -
A7 - G9 - B4 - A9 - B9
A9 - G9 - B9 (my favorite, lol)
(strike) Denki isn’t at all a combo character, he’s a guy that wants to be all up in your face at ALL times
Alpha - Your main damage dealer, amazing damage with a short-ish range that increases if you zoom in ! Great for people with good aim , also the best attack to use if you hit a stun. It has a cool passive that lets you connect little mini trip wires that stun after getting hit with them twice
Beta - The weakest part of your kit, BUT it can hit through walls which you’ll definitely want to abuse, level up to 4 minimum and use if you’re close to two or more people at a time , but you aren’t the direct focus .
Gamma - Your mobility and your stun ! Denki’s gamma has quite the generous hitbox and fair tracking, making it easy to land if you memorize how far it goes at levels 1, 4, and 9. Gamma > Alpha is a great combo that shreds every character in the game , and even is a guaranteed death with rapids / lower hp characters at 9,9,9.
SA - Not very practical to use, but it can be used for your ToD (Touch of Death) combo ! Its range is decent, for being something literally on your body . Do note, its charge drops to 0% if you manage to hit someone with it.
Touch of Death -
SA > Alpha x2 > Gamma > Alpha x3
UTILIZE YOUR ALPHA WIRES! People don’t talk about this enough, but your alpha wires are STRONG ! You can pull off many great plays by spacing out your alphas and trapping people in ‘webs’ instead of actually aiming at your target . It’s best to do this when you’re fighting more than one person at a time.
Quick Notes: You cannot stun twice with gamma > gamma, there’s a recharge time the opponent has before they can get stunned again. Gamma too early, and they’ll just get knocked down .
and there you have it, go become a shock hazard !
