To sum it up a bit: if you have the characters, then I’d go for gp/hp dmg like strike deku, endeavor and present mic on your strike slots and if there are remaining slots, I’d go for alpha dmg like strike Dabi. Also tech denki gives you alpha dmg and reload. Mirio gives alpha reload as well.
Same on the defense side with all might

I also think it depends on your playstyle. I also have a build for rapidgo with kota tracker for example but I like the offensive one with rapid toga and afo the most atm

I dont have much use with kota finder since if someone else have it then you will waste your time fighting over it and potentially die and looting at the beginning of the game is quite essential

@calm hemlock @past crest hope you’re ready for a long summary about Strike Bakugo 🙆🏽‍♀️ I’ll send you both some clips in dms because that would be too much here. I’ve gone through my whole gallery and have found a lot, so be prepared 😅

Strike Bakugo

I won’t explain his quirks in general. Just some details about them.

Alpha:

• it can pierce through walls (many ppl forget it)
• you should check the range compared to other ranged attacks. Afo, Assault Deku and Strike Shoto have a longer range for example, so just don’t rely on your Alpha only against them
  Beta:
• his AoE attack
• Easier to hit when you throw them while being midair
• Hitting 2 grenades on the same enemy gives him a knockback (can be useful when you try to escape)
• Most of my combos start with a beta
• You can also hit enemies midair with it but it’s not easy (not something that you should definitely train but if you don’t have any alphas or gamma left, you can try to hit the enemy with them)
  Gamma:
• it has NO hyper armor so think about it twice when to use it
• But it has AUTO-TRACKING if used midair and close to an enemy who is also in the air so make good use of it
• Hitting someone with gamma in the air is something I’d definitely train. Not many red bakugos are doing it and you can catch some ppl off guard
• Can also be used as movement
• Important: if you catch someone with gamma, don't move your character. Otherwise your enemy can get out of it (unless there’s an obstacle in your way)
• Great to use if you’ve downed someone. Hit them with the explosion at the end and then you just need 1-3 alphas or 2 betas to get your ko

Strike bakugo in general is better in 1v1s. You can deal massive dmg in a few seconds when you know some combos. Also Positioning is key. You can’t jump into the chaos without getting a scratch because his quirks can’t defend him like all might gamma for example. That’s why it’s always good to have high ground or make use of your distance moves (alpha and beta) to scare them

Tough matchups for Strike Bakugo are All Might, Iida, Rapid Bakugo. Also Strike Denki and Strike Deku can outdamage you so be careful. Matchups that I find easy are Momo, Tech Dabi, Strike Shigi. There may be more or other opinions about both sides but these are the ones that came to my mind

His level up order:

• many ppl start with maxing alpha first, then beta then gamma
• You can also go with A4>B4>A9>B9>G9
• I max out his beta first, so my order is A4>B9>A9>G9
• A4>B4>G4 and then whatever you feel like is also a good choice
• The reason why I max out his beta first is because of the skin I’m wearing for him (The All Might Skin). With my tunings on it, I’ll do more than 100 dmg per grenade when the enemy has no shield anymore and like I said before, most of my combos start with beta

Combos: I’ve never watched any combo video so these are all combos I’ve found out by myself so there may be more

• Beta into Gamma (depending on your levels, a guard break is guaranteed)
• Beta, Alpha, Alpha, Beta used out of air (if you’re flying with his Special Action and about to descend you can hit that combo on an enemy. Won’t work on your first try but it’s definitely possible to land because his Beta takes more time to hit so you can shoot 2 Alphas before the second Beta hits and would give the enemy a knockback
• Beta, Alpha, Beta (Same as before, depends on how high you’re in the air)
• Beta, Alpha, Gamma (deals massive dmg, also used out of air, when you hit everything at lv 1 without tunings, you’ll do around 250-270 dmg)

Not a combo but what I can highly recommend is make use of invincibility frames with your Beta: When someone got a knockback and he gets up immediately (the character jumps/does a backflip because he used the left control stick to move) punish him with Beta. That doesn’t work when the enemy gets up normally (he stands up slowly because he didn’t use the left stick to move)

He's best tuning is the afo tuning then any other stuff u wanna add to it
Just as @orchid kayak said positioning is one of he's most crucial gameplans he's easily punished unlike he's rapid counter that has 3 get outta jail cards
Grenades spam to the foot should be your go- to when fighting majority of the rapids
Also learn kiting and spacing as red bakugo cuz they are very important in most matchups
The rest is just experience the more you use him the more it becomes muscle memory

The dude is very versatile with his movement.
Always use alpha to give you more momentum if you jump, use special action or beta. You should level up either alpha or gamma first since they both are very useful and essential.
You should get use to the beta into gamma into alpha combo first since the beta stuns opponents who had still.had not broken.
Just always keep moving in a fight and keep attack simultaneously.
And one more advice. Dont EVER fight a grounded or a strike character indoors because your moves can easily be interrupted and you can die easily.

And also

Always use special action to get of danger from wake ups

Beta is kinda slow and people can still catch you if your low health and you have been knocked down

And always keep moving
If you stop then you can easily be bursted down by other grounded characters

His beta cooldown is somehow slightly longer than his SA so because on using it properly

Sry took a while to respond. The best dmg fit heavily depends on what your wanting to buff and what bakugo your playing.

Unfortunately for both bakugos beta atk isn't good (strike beta atk doesn't work and rapid doesn't really care) so triple stacking beta isn't worth and he cant triple stack alpha or gamma either due to simply being bakugo.

Lmk what fits you have, if you want a PUR or budget fit, and what your wanting to tune primarily. Be aware tho that red bakugo cannot reach the dmg of strike todo or regular deku simply because he cant triple alpha stack (so he cant do 100 without triple strike while the others get 100 on their own)

Oh and what special tunes are you intrested in. Do you want a mobility increase with wall run? Card dupe, gp sucker, revenge strike etc

Hey, I’d say it depends on if you could max it out or not. Both are really useful on strike bakugo but I’d say afo special tuning is already good at lv 6 (ofc better when your lv is higher) and rapid toga obviously at lv 10/11. Not sure if it’s a bug/glitch or a shadow buff but rapid toga gives you full shield now at lv 11. You should take this in consideration as well

I’ve posted a longer comment about him a few weeks ago and I’ll send it again. Maybe it’ll help you

Strike Bakugo

I won’t explain his quirks in general. Just some details about them.

Alpha:

• it can pierce through walls (many ppl forget it)
• you should check the range compared to other ranged attacks. Afo, Assault Deku and Strike Shoto have a longer range for example, so just don’t rely on your Alpha only against them
  Beta:
• his AoE attack
• Easier to hit when you throw them while being midair
• Hitting 2 grenades on the same enemy gives him a knockback (can be useful when you try to escape)
• Most of my combos start with a beta
• You can also hit enemies midair with it but it’s not easy (not something that you should definitely train but if you don’t have any alphas or gamma left, you can try to hit the enemy with them)
  Gamma:
• it has NO hyper armor so think about it twice when to use it
• But it has AUTO-TRACKING if used midair and close to an enemy who is also in the air so make good use of it
• Hitting someone with gamma in the air is something I’d definitely train. Not many red bakugos are doing it and you can catch some ppl off guard
• Can also be used as movement
• Important: if you catch someone with gamma, don't move your character. Otherwise your enemy can get out of it (unless there’s an obstacle in your way)
• Great to use if you’ve downed someone. Hit them with the explosion at the end and then you just need 1-3 alphas or 2 betas to get your ko

Strike bakugo in general is better in 1v1s. You can deal massive dmg in a few seconds when you know some combos. Also Positioning is key. You can’t jump into the chaos without getting a scratch because his quirks can’t defend him like all might gamma for example. That’s why it’s always good to have high ground or make use of your distance moves (alpha and beta) to scare them

Tough matchups for Strike Bakugo are All Might, Iida, Rapid Bakugo. Also Strike Denki and Strike Deku can outdamage you so be careful. Matchups that I find easy are Momo, Tech Dabi, Strike Shigi. There may be more or other opinions about both sides but these are the ones that came to my mind

His level up order:

• many ppl start with maxing alpha first, then beta then gamma
• You can also go with A4>B4>A9>B9>G9
• I max out his beta first, so my order is A4>B9>A9>G9
• A4>B4>G4 and then whatever you feel like is also a good choice
• The reason why I max out his beta first is because of the skin I’m wearing for him (The All Might Skin). With my tunings on it, I’ll do more than 100 dmg per grenade when the enemy has no shield anymore and like I said before, most of my combos start with beta

Combos: I’ve never watched any combo video so these are all combos I’ve found out by myself so there may be more

• Beta into Gamma (depending on your levels, a guard break is guaranteed)
• Beta, Beta, Alpha, Alpha used out of air (if you’re flying with his Special Action and about to descend you can hit that combo on an enemy. Won’t work on your first try but it’s definitely possible to land because his Beta takes more time to hit so you can shoot 2 Alphas before the second Beta hits and would give the enemy a knockback
• Beta, Beta, Alpha (Same as before, depends on how high you’re in the air)
• Beta, Alpha, Gamma (deals massive dmg, also used out of air, when you hit everything at lv 1 without tunings, you’ll do around 250-270 dmg)

Not a combo but what I can highly recommend is make use of invincibility frames with your Beta: When someone got a knockback and he gets up immediately (the character jumps/does a backflip because he used the left control stick to move) punish him with Beta. That doesn’t work when the enemy gets up normally (he stands up slowly because he didn’t use the left stick to move)

Same goes for a floor above you (UA Island map buildings for example) when you can see a shadow

About beta: when you throw them don’t throw them where your enemy is, throw them where your enemy will go. That will make a huge difference. Practice it a little bit and you’ll see then it works 😇

About gamma: not sure if you’ve read my “long post” about him a little bit above but I’ve said it in the “gamma section”. Anyways, don’t move your character to the left or right. That can cause enemies falling out of gamma. Most of the time I don’t do the whole gamma. I just mostly stop when I’m close to the enemy to hit him with the explosion at the end

About his special action: it’s very versatile imo. You can use it to escape, to chase or to get high ground for starting a combo for example. It always depends on the situation you’re in atm

About his combos: you don’t have to but it’s recommended because you’re getting less countered/less damaged. Best example is against grounded characters like Momo, Strike Shigi or Tech Dabi. Also it’s easier to hit

Just always remember: strike bakugo performs better in 1v1 situations. You don’t have any moves that can protect you like all might gamma for example or shield moves in general

I think having the ability to consistently control your jump in a great mechanic for him
But comparing it to spiraling where your consistently going high for most of the time thus making characters like shiggy, overhaul and momo utterly useless is kinda makes it more better

About the « always use special to get out » I’d like to add don’t spam it mindlessly, makes you very predictable and any good player will take advantage of that, no matter how mobile you are. Sometimes try and use your iframes first dodge a move and if you succeded, you can do your special in all safety.

When you get hit, you have invincibility frames, but if you do ANY moves, you lose them, so if you spam moves when waking up, you’re just making yourself vulnerable again

Yes the special action is a very good get out tool, but since most noobs spam it, good players will predict it and act in consequence, which can lead to your death

Something very simple is waking up and just waiting, they might do a move which they will miss as long as you have your invincibility frames and didn’t spam brainlessly, and THEN you can get out
