Im having problems taking screenshots. I can take the screenshot but they won't show up in my recent captures but when i take clips they show up

I have a xbox one s
Ive tried restarting the console nothing happened
Ive tried resetting the console nothing happened
No error codes come up but they won't show up but recordings will

"Getting clip ready" should only be for recordings. Is this the Captures app you're checking? What happens if you change the selector to "On this console"?
