my party chat isnt working and it says that its due to my network settings yet i have an open nat and ive done everything in the book

even called microsoft support and they just gave me the runaround

i have a seiries x and tried changing my poert messing with my router stettings upnp is enabled and i even tried port forwarding along with calling my isp and they said isnt not on them, i dont have any com banns or anything and the error code leads me to about my nat type and its the right one ( Open)

Does the Party Chat feature work on other devices on your network? Such as mobile or PC, or another Xbox?

ive tried restarting my router , xbox , ive factory reset my xbox while keeping my games and apps but not my settings, ive called my isp and xbox support and this is about all ive dont ive also made sure my upnp is enabled and made a port forwarding address then deleted it, ive lowered my firewall as well

my brother is on the same network and it works just fine for him

but on the xbox app if im on the eifi it dosent work and if im not on the wifi it does the same thing is shows everyone else in the party as disconnected then it shows me connecting, then it says partychat disconnected

To confirm, does joining a party on your phone behave the exact same way regardless of you being on your wifi or using Mobile Data?

only when im on wifi is when it does the same , if im on my mobile data iit works fin on the moble app

The fact that it works via mobile data but not your wifi is sort of a telling sign it's an issue with your home network - which other networks did you try to connect your console to?

my wifi gives off two connects 5g and 2.4 g and there is an extention in the house that my brother is on and it still dosent weork

But no one else in the household would know how and I just changed my dns on the Xbox to see if it will work

What gets me tho is my brother down the hallways with the same Xbox series x is on the same wifi and he isn’t having any issues

Set the network up correctly or you may need to replace the router. This page explains NATS and what double Nat means. It also explains how NAT types can be effected using more than one console.

also to answer your pervious point about your provider telling you they are not blocking anything. That is likley correct but that does not automatically give you a open NAT as that link explains

i get that but unfortunately its difficult for anyone else to help as we do not know how you have your set up and you do not know whats wrong.

We can explain what the error means and how to troubleshoot and thats what Deek as done as mentioned this is a issue with your set up of your network.

For reference to reassure you Deek works on networking at xbox and I'm fairly sure support would have said that.
