Thank you for your post! Please remember the support here is not official and is handled on a volunteer basis. Once you have posted your concern here, we ask that you be patient and not spam your thread elsewhere in the server, that will slow the process down.
If your issue is regarding an account/billing issue, you will need to reach out to Xbox Support directly.
In order for members of the community to provide adequate support, make sure you have provided answers to the following:
- What is your issue?
Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).
- What troubleshooting have you tried?
Please list everything you have attempted.
- Have you searched #1091756150644555946 for anyone else with your issue or researched your issue on the internet?
If so, what results have you seen and tried?
If you do not provide answers to all of these questions, you are not likely to receive a response.
Once you have posted, please ensure you have answered all the questions and be patient. Do not go to other channels and ask for help, that slows things down.
If you need immediate support, please contact Xbox Support.
Additionally, no one here can assist with Enforcement actions of any sort.
I have a video if anyone can assist
Send it for repair if water got to the internals
How long would that take
And where do I send it off to
Question how much water? Did it go through the vents on top?
Some went through the vents, i’d say maybe half a cup of water
that's a lot of water
So it got into the internals
Most likely unfortunately
U need send it back to Microsoft for repair
and do not leave it plugged in while you're filling out those forms!
Unplugged it as soon as it happened
Im very pissed off now
Um. Oddly enough it just turned on
Its working?
All I did was insert the power cord differently and now it seems to be working
I currently have it flipped upside down though
Although now im kinda scared
I would wait like a hour and try playing a game.
I wish I could post videos here though so you can see what’s happening
when you pour water in something you shoul dleave it unplugged for hours or over a day before even thinking about plugging it back in.
No video is necessary.
It is either water damaged or it isn't... Water is the 'safest' of things to pour in (compare dto like Coke) but it sitll isn't a gaurantee
Ok im going to make a final run of events and revisions as to what happened before I archive this thing
- around 11:00am I had spilled about coffee cup of water all over my desk, i’d reckon only 1/4th of it got ON the xbox, im unsure how much got in the black vent
- left all devices unplugged and faced xbox upside down on towel to try and drain whatever water got into the vent
- Returned from lectures and lunch at about 2:00pm, plugged in xbox to see if it would work, still upside down.
- Would turn on and make sound, but immediately switch back off.
- left it for around 10minuted to fill out microsoft form
- Decided to try one last time, this time inserting the power supply the opposite way/upside down from what I had it before, and it turned on.
Make what you want of it, and I do want some recommendations if I should still send it in anyways, but this is the last i’ll post in here
