Omnimovement apparently is way easier on controller because of the joysticks, so keyboard players are a little outmatched right now

Makes intuitive sense, honestly. Movement on KBM has always been subpar, especially for FPS and racing games. Having a mouse is better for aiming, but having sticks has always been better for movement.

Now of course people can adapt and get just as good with it, but...

One of these days I wanna try a half controller, half mouse combo. I'm not used to mouse aim so I'd probably suck, but I think it would be neat to try.

For the people having trouble with omnimovement, are y'all using Sprint Assist?

I have SA on and set to 350ms (I've tested a few delay times and this seems about perfect for me, but will probably tweak it more), and it removes the extra button press and I just need to tap RS to slide or hold to dive. If I had to press the sprint button every time, yeah, I'd absolutely give up.

Overkill not costing a point like previous games also means I've been running [Gun] + SVD. Having a sniper as backup has been actually kind of insane. It doesn't always come in handy, but it does more than I would have though.

Honestly I've never been a movement sweat in my life. I've always hated the jumping and the sliding and the whatever else.

This game though?

Nah. In my opinion they've made a system that I feel almost anyone can use and feel like they're doing something, and that's part of why I like it so much. If I, as someone who never uses movement, can pick up this game and be flying all around the map with ease and pulling off awesome plays, then I have the confidence that others can too, and that's part of what makes this system so awesome. It feels like an even playing field. Just hold a single button down, no need to spam the controller like you see people do in TV shows when they wanna show someone "playing" a video game.

Not being an even playing field is why I've hated the movement that became popular. It's like...I gotta somehow teach my brain how to aim, slide, jump, spin, whatever, all at the same time? Not happening. The people who can do that are at a severe advantage and are usually very frustrating to play against.

Not this game though. Everyone has the potential to be one of those same sweats, and because it's so normal now, it doesn't feel as oppressive.

In other games, people would just be moving so fast their character model would be damn near morphing. Not this game though. If that person didn't have a sniper rifle they'd probably have clapped the person sliding.

It's all just...it's done so well. I haven't been this impressed with a CoD game since 2008. Genuinely.

You can also aim more easily in any direction when you're prone compared to previous games where the character would shuffle around or flip over delaying your aiming.

You're also able to dive in any direction, shoot while diving and spin around in a dive to shoot behind.

I've noticed a bit of struggle trying to dive over low walls, and I can't figure out if that's intentional or if it's a collision issue.
