Thank you for your post! Please remember the support here is not official and is handled on a volunteer basis. Once you have posted your concern here, we ask that you be patient and not spam your thread elsewhere in the server, that will slow the process down.

If your issue is regarding an account/billing issue, you will need to reach out to Xbox Support directly.

In order for members of the community to provide adequate support, make sure you have provided answers to the following:

  1. What is your issue?

Be specific. If your issue is with an Xbox console, please include which model and what your OS version is, as well as if you are in an Xbox Insider Program ring. If your issue is on PC, please include relevant versions (Windows version, any version information for specific apps in question, etc).

  1. What troubleshooting have you tried?

Please list everything you have attempted.

  1. Have you searched #1091756150644555946 for anyone else with your issue or researched your issue on the internet?

If so, what results have you seen and tried?

If you do not provide answers to all of these questions, you are not likely to receive a response.

Once you have posted, please ensure you have answered all the questions and be patient. Do not go to other channels and ask for help, that slows things down.

If you need immediate support, please contact Xbox Support.

Additionally, no one here can assist with Enforcement actions of any sort.

Is it showing anything when you hit the power button or no

#

Ok first you need to check if everything is properly plugged in

#

Which Xbox do you have

#

New outlet also?

#

Tried a different outlet?

#

Try to plug it in a different outlet on the wall

#

No just the Xbox and the power cord

#

I have had problems in the past at my house with the actual outlet dying

#

Ok let’s try a couple of things real quick

#

To reset the internal power supply, follow these steps:
Unplug the power cord from the console.
Wait 10 seconds.
Plug the cord back into the console, and then press the Xbox button  on the front of the console.

#

@polar vector is it okay if I ask for msg of the actual Xbox the back of it?

#

Yea but image perms are off here

terse bough
#

A imagine of the console

#

But image perms are turned off here.

polar vector
#

Why do you need that?

#

Doesn't seem like an issue that needs an image.

# polar vector Why do you need that?

I’ve had problems with my past console not being plugged in right. Or the actual outlet being damage but I wanted to ask before since I know dm are not allowed

#

They can upload a pic to somewhere like imgur and share a link here.

#

Ohhh true thank you for answering! @rare flame can you please upload a image to Imgur of the actual back of the Xbox where you plug in the power cord to.

#

Hmm yea I don’t see any damage on it at all have you tried to contact Microsoft for a repair? Did anything happened before it stopped working

#

Like anything weird or etc?

#

How hot was the blow dryer?

#

How close to the console was it

#

Oh

terse bough
#

Who told you to do that? No offense

polar vector
#

If you don't know the answer, just say you don't know the answer.

#

Whst have you tried so far?

polar vector

If it stopped working after you had a blow dryer on it, then that's likely the reason it's happening. That is a bad thing to do so you likely broke it.

#

I don't feel like reading all that stuff

polar vector
#

Nothing more anyone here can do to help you fix this. You need a new console.

terse bough
#

Yea that’s what I was feeling like the issue was so I didn’t know how to reply lol

#

Yea a blow dryer isn’t a good idea ever

polar vector
#

This is why you don't try to fix things yourself if you don't know what you're doing.

#

Okay so what I'm getting is he left a blow dryer atop his xbox?

terse bough
#

I don’t think Microsoft will even do a repair on that will they?

polar vector
#

But it stopped working when you did that, so it's obviously what caused it.

terse bough
#

Yea I’m sorry we can’t help you anymore the blow dryer is what caused it to break most likely

polar vector
#

You can try sending in to Xbox for repair, but it's not going to be covered by warranty for something like that so you'd have to pay for repair.

Or you can buy a new console to replace it.

terse bough
#

Don’t I’m sorry but that ain’t worth it. I don’t think that’s even legal

polar vector
#

They're not stupid and that's fraud.

#

They know the difference between general wear and tear and use damage.
