Are you sure you were signed into the same Microsoft account on both the website and the console? Do you have an email receipt for your purchase?

TBH you may need to choose "restart" from the power menu rather than just "off" and then "on" again because of sleep mode.
Sometimes an XBOX that's off is not all the way off.
