I have an xbox made headset with mic and the mic is extremely bad, I have a USB mic which I want to use instead of the one on the headset, How can I do this?

You will need to buy a regular headphone jack style headset to connect directly to the controller or one of the headsets that is specifically marketed as “made for Xbox” if you want wireless

Ive gotta spend more money on extra adapters ontop of the $500 xbox?

No, you don’t need extra adapters. You just need a standard headset or a “works with Xbox” headset

I have one but as I said the mic is horrible

Yes sometimes things break and have to be replaced. That doesn’t change the fact that Xbox does not support usb audio

The Xbox wireless headset is a pretty decent console headset.

Otherwise any headphone jack style headset will work.
