If FTC doubles down I will question their goal.
Deal’s done. Best to accept it now.
Bonus points if the FTC tries again and still calls the deal bad because of the arguments from the initial hearing.
But yeah at this point FTC should acqiesce

basically boils down to they didnt know when the deal would close, so couldnt plan anything like they did previously with Bethesda. so the work starts from now

Phil is off on a 12 hour flight now to see King team and they also have a studio in London. so tons of travelling for him for awhile.

they have been doing work though Microsoft did work on the COD servers a few weeks back. That was clearly for BC.

it's impressive that despite a mountain of roadblocks the initial date of completion was only a few months off

is that also not a finalized deal? i imagine they think if they can unravel the ubisoft deal they can unravel the whole deal

they could force a divesture only if they win the court case in december which rolls back the acquisition but its a uphill battle for ftc but its a very low possibility.

I don't claim to be the sharpest tool in the shed, but the fact that XBOX are announcing it on the dashboard sorta makes it feel like it's all settled at this point.

That's kinda my take as well. I mean I guess the FTC can try to shoot for certain things, but as far as everyone is concerned, the deal is done.

they've already made deals with COD, and they've stated multiple times the main reason for the acquisition was king, so they're definitely not giving them up

While I think the FTC position is dumb if you’re going to be upset about wastes of tax dollars they barely are a drop in the ocean compared to other parts of the government. Check out how much the DOD have sunk into the F-35 sometime 🤷🏻‍♂️
