@tomwarren I have to wonder why they're bothering. They have like, 2 days to get a stay granted by a panel of judges who ruled over the very cases that were used as precedence to deny their injunction, and it has to be unanimous.

The appeal obviously won't work, so why?

I’m not sure if it’s reliable (I don’t think it is) but if it is true sounds like Nasdaq is thinking the deal will close soon.

Confusing as it may be, if this country has gotten anything right, it's the idea (because the execution is damn sure not always good) of our legal system. How people execute it is one thing, but appeals, trials, giving everyone a fair shake... It's pretty good.

I assume that, if the deal passes then ABK would not be on the stock market anymore except under MSFT since they’d be a subsidiary, thus ABK would be replaced.
Of course, as mentioned I know nothing about the stock market.

The only way appeal will work is if the 9th court thinks the judge did not handle something right like a point of law would be a big thing

The FTC have said that the judge as gave her ruling like it was a trail court and in theory it wasn't. But there isnt anything illegal

The other thing is that the court may feel they need more time too consider the appeal. So they extend the deadline maybe by a week or 2
