why is this the case? I never connected Riot Games to my Xbox Account, nor did I ever give Xbox App any permission to do things like this to the Riot Games app

so have you downloaded the Riot games lancher? or you seeing this in task manager that Riot is running on your PC?

the Riot Client is running in Task Manager and the little icons in the bottom right
every time I close it, it re-opens itself
then when it re-opens itself it gives me this same stupid message:
"Riot Client needs to run in the background while you're using the Xbox App. Please quit the Xbox App first to close Riot Client". Makes no sense that it needs the Xbox App closed to be closed
heck I didn't even open it, it just opened the moment I opened the Xbox App just so I could update Halo Infinite

I tried valorant on pc i didnt like it so i had to close xbox app and uninstall valorant and riot games launcher. It seems u may have installed riot games at one point

It could be that riot is linked with the xbox app so there for needs that to run. However i just checked my PC and i can not see anything to do with Riot running and I runing the xbox app.
Updating halo should not effect this either way.

well all I did was open the Xbox App and all of a sudden Riot Client opened itself and I can't close it 🤷♂️
seems some other people on reddit were complaining about this too
funny thing is no Riot Games are even located as a "PC Game" in the Xbox App

It seems like its linked like how xbox app and ea desktop is linked for game pass ultimate users i think
U could go to riot games launcher settings so it wont launch when xbox app or pc start idk if this is an option

when did I say I never had Riot Installed? either way there should be 0 correlation to both opening. I never opened a Riot Game app with Xbox App, I never connected Riot Games with Xbox (and even if I did.... I wasn't even logged into Riot Client), and I never opened the app in the first place
