Yeah, something has changed tremendously since last week. It looks like the last update and maintenance fixed alot of the awful lag while playing but now resolution is extremely grainy in video now. Tested on both 5G and home wifi. 300 upload and 300 download mbps.

Also when trying to broadcast to twitch whether you use twitches mobile streaming app or Omlet streaming app, everything starts out fine, then gradually starts lagging and audio gets extremely distorted. When you stop the broadcast it goes back to playing normal.

This was tested on forza 5, halo Infinite, control, mlb the show 21 and madden 20.

Its the app. not only was I able to play I even broadcasted all from my mobile phone. All this time I've been using the app from Google play store.

The thing to learn though, is if you have a problem that no one else seems to have, rather than telling everyone to abandon the product and use a different (end-of-life'd) product, that you should do a little research.
Playing through the browser is the way all the Apple users do it, the majority of Android users do it, and at least some of the Windows users do it. It isn't a 'secret' or 'advanced' thing

So I'm new to cloud gaming, I just playtested some games here and there either via browser or the app. Now the app has no input lag but it has some weird vertical refresh and doesnt look very good, and then the browser has no refresh and looks great but bad input lag. I've read similar experiences on reddit, does anyone have some tips to make it better or a solution?

Seems like on my xbox one it doesnt have any weird screen problems, the graphics seem like better than the app but worse than the browser, and the input lag is not as bad as the browser but still worse than the app. Seems kinda confusing šŸ˜…

@sacred ravine I have the same issue using xbox series x. It is connected to router via cable and TV adjusted to game mode. Someone said yesterday it's still beta so hopefully they will improve it. It does say that it's best to download the game for a better experience.

Cloud gaming is only 1080p at this time - that's an improvement over the original 720p that it was at.
So, depending on your screen size it is definitely going to look more pixelated than just playing a local game on an actual console connected to a tv

You'll need a stable connection that is at least 5 Mbps (that's the bare minimum to stream a 1080p movie, without absolutely nothing else happening, so of course you'd want more bandwidth if possible)

you need upload too, sending all those inputs has to reach the datacenter and ping back to you so you can see it on screen

  1. good download speed for the video
  2. okay enough upload speed to send your controls back
  3. very low ping to the datacenter so all that happens fast enough to not feel laggy

The problem with 3 is that it depends on
3a) your home network, if you are using wireless, if you have multiple switches between you and the internet, etc etc
3b) your ISP
3c) literally every single device and distance between you and the closest Microsoft datacenter that has xcloud capabilities

I didn't feel like plugging in the storage drive that actually has rainbow six extraction installed so instead I went to the game card to play it with cloud gaming. at the moment its just controller for Flight Sim, they are hard at work trying to get KB/M working next. and I think Touch Controls if that hasnt already been added.. this was on a Q&A session earlier in the month on youtube for Flight Sim.

I'm not entirely following the question...

With either Game Pass Ultimate or Apple Arcade, you only have access to the games as long as your subscription is running. If you want to keep playing a game without a subscription, you have to buy the game outright.
All Game Pass games are available for purchase separately, but not all Apple Arcade games are available for purchase.

Xcloud aka Xbox Cloud Gaming is a feature only available if you have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. It is not currently purchaseable as a standalone product/subscription.

yea, the Razer Kishi is a way better option (unfortunately I had to send mine back because it just didn't work well with the case I use)

Well Game Pass is supported in India and that's one of the requirements.
Who knows if there are other governmental/legal requirements.
But infrastructure will be a big one... It takes a pretty low latency connection between you and the datacenter to play well... I dont' know what microsoft's / azure's datacenter deployment in India looks like, but that is likely one of the biggest challenges

The only thing missing is rumble, I heard that's an issue with android. And I noticed some games require touch screen input during character creation when deciding on the name for some reason. So I have to start out on my phone and then log back in on my tv. Other than that it's been wonderful
