I prefer the switch feel in terms of mobile gaming. IMO, keep the steam deck. TBH the cloud gaming is why I preordered the steam deck, when they tested cloud gaming on the prototype steam deck, I hit that preorder button.

In theory, the Steam Deck could work for everything, because with a Windows install, you've got a fully working computer.

Hell, a Steam Deck even gives PS Now a purpose, as you've only got a 800p screen and the 720p rubbish they stream to your TV now becomes alright! Sony should be thanking Valve.

5ghz WiFi is better than 2.4ghz WiFi if you can be close to the antenna, but it isnā€™t going to be a difference between ā€œcanā€™t do anythingā€ and ā€œit worksā€. It will help with some lag but if you canā€™t get it to work with 2.4 then it is more likely that your network connection itself is a problem

There are a ton of free applications for it, mainly macro's, you might be able to find an AHK script for it. I personally use reWASD, which does have a free trial, but the program's not free past the trial.
Though I mainly use reWASD for converting controller to mkb for MMO's and such, but I've also done it the other way around and it works really well too.

Bear in mind though, joystick movement on a mouse is extremely slow, because normally you'd just hold the joystick to the right instead of moving it right each time you want to turn right, like with a mouse.

Just be aware that that's not going to be great... there is no way to translate a mouse to a joystick that works properly.

Because when I do select login or create a account it just dims the screen and nothing pops up and of course keyboard/mouse doesnā€™t work so you canā€™t just type in the login, I assume itā€™s trying to bring up the Xbox keyboard but it never does, even sitting for a few minutes, I have to have a full account to enable crossplay and I canā€™t create one nor if I did would be able to login through the game on X-Cloud making this game literally unplayable for me as I intended to play it with a friend.

Also when it does this you have to literally quit out of the game because you canā€™t back out to the main menu or anything else.

try using the app instead of a browser and switch wifi or mobile data you will have different experanice based on how your connecting and what is happening at that point in the data centre you connected too. Some people find wifi is better other people find mobile data is better, the point is everyone is different and there for your experanice will be different

the quality of the connection between you and the local xcloud datacenter (not necessarily some random speedtest server) is what really matters for cloud gaming.
every action on your joystick has to be sent to the server, and that does not take very much upstream bandwidth at all, it just need a fast response time.
and the video being shown on your screen is only 1080p which only requies 5 megs (so you need like a 10+ meg internet connection to be able ot reliably maintain a 5 meg stream)

The queues are huge, and when the queue takes too long, an error message appears saying "it was not possible to connect to the servers"
So you lose your place in line and have to start, and you stay in this loop and you never get to play

Yeah there will be some slight things than playing Native, but still a good substitute. and you can save drive space if you dont feel like installing everything, I use it to test out new Game Pass titles and go from there. but with me getting zero lag now I can happily play the whole game through stream

It is not a seperate game technically. It is an upgrade or dlc on skyrim se. Under the game listing it has Skyrim se as being included alongside ae upgrade

I was able to go on cloud and just download all for creation club. Which I believe is the extent of the anniversary edition change over that of the special edition.

no you stream the games from a datacenter that microsoft owns and you can only play Game Pass titles. not all of them are cloud playable though
