Supposedly it’s already working on macOS. If you’re in the beta you just open it in edge (or maybe even safari) on macOS. It works but it’s not officially supported yet, in that they are not actively testing how well it works on Mac

If I recall correctly iOS is a lot bigger than MacOS, but MacOS is not negligible

cloud streaming might become an important way of playing games on Mac, too, I guess, since dropping 32-bit support and then switching to ARM broke compatibility with many games, and it's hard to say how strong developer support will be moving forward... sounded like the deprecation of OpenGL was a problem too

The lag really was not the issue I was having. It's just the camera spinning and trigger issues for the controller input. Which was odd because the controller was new and wired to the chromebook via usb-c. And it works fine with Stadia wired the same way.

I'm sure the cloud side of the service is going to improve. I don't see Microsoft quitting on it but I may take a break from it and come back when it develops more. Or maybe check and see if the issue is somehow on my side, I don't see how considering the controller is wired though.

I haven't had any camera issues while using xcloud yet. That sounds pretty strange though. I've played through a few games now both on mobile and PC without any real bugs yet. I'd definitely suggest leaving feedback and reporting the issue though like Paul said. I'll check the known issues and ask around to see if anyone else knows.

Appreciated. It's just really weird considering I'm not even using Bluetooth for the controller connection. Even more so considering the controller is official Xbox and new and wired, and works with other services fine apparently. SobI don't believe it's on my end.

Also just finished a stage in Streets of Rage 4. Game is terrific and so is the performance. This game gives me no issues

Well, I first started up Halo MCC and had near constant screen refreshing with some skipping. It was just above playable. I tried to finish the end of the first level but gave up and tried Streets of Rage 4. It wasn't as bad but it wasn't that much better before I just moved on to Division 2 and Gylt on Stadia as I waited for my food.

Cloud gaming on IOS is trash right now unfortunately, they need to upgrade it somehow, it’s very laggy even on a 1gig connection. Being that the app is ran through the web and not a stand alone application, the lag is very bad, the frame rate is like 5fps, especially when there is more action going on in game it drops even more and it stutters like crazy. The controller input lag is horrendous when I aim any way it takes like 3 seconds for it to register on the phone in game.

Please fix it and make it a stand alone application which would heavily impact the performance of cloud gaming. A web based application will never be okay, the delay is just to great on every spectrum. I love the Xbox brand and all their ingenuity, however there are a few kinks to repair. Thank you and I truly appreciate all the work the programmers and developers do for the Xbox community. 🙏

Ok I need help with the streaming app. I'm able to join parties on my phone once I've entered a game and I always knew about that but I never tried it. Now I'm trying it but I can't talk. I can hear my friend talking in the party but it doesn't pick up my voice. I've plugged my headphones into my phone and xbox controller but it doesn't work either way. Is there a certain way you have to do it? (There isn't an issue with me being able to hear anything through my headphones, I hear my friend talk and I hear game sound just fine but for some reason it isn't picking up my voice. and yes these are the same headphones I normally use when I'm on the actual xbox and they work just fine).

I didn't know that, that's cool. Though it may be their policy that they can't announce a service for India until they have coverage over nearly all of it. I think Russia suffers from having very remote and under-developed pockets that makes things a little trickier. But they will get there I bet, I think Xbox Cloud is actually designed with India in mind given how the console market is fairing there.

I must say though that even for a more developed system here in Sweden, cloud has a ways to go. I'm not entirely certain what a CCWGTV is but I have been able to successfully side load xCloud back when it was in beta and the gamepass app on my under powered insignia fire tv. it worked via wifi and ethernet just like any other Android device. my xbox controller connected over Bluetooth but the controllers were a little buggy as when i tried to click the start button or the xbox button to return; the fire tv would register it as an operating system command and not for the app itself so it made playing for short sessions terrible. the app had been in my region (usa) since beta and mine does not crash on fireOS. not that i recommend ever sideloading it on unofficially supported devices; i simply wanted to try it out.

Thanks for the reply. It’s a ChromeCast with Google TV. It’s essentially GoogleTV on a Chromecast style dongle. The xcloud app works fine it’s just the normal app (that allows local streaming) I can’t get to work!

The reason I question it is because for cloud gaming it is made to use less profromce meaning the base game and APU is not running on that console or device so shouldn’t it not use that much power to run the only answer that’s in my head would be the throttle cap between then the game is streaming output quality to the sever or network then on top of that the iPhone compressing the stream to remove delay and bandwidth errors and correct code and commands back to the stream

Also another thing I will be contacting Xbox support because for some strange reason the Microsoft voice command or voice assistant is stuck on when using cloud gaming 😂I swear I’m being trolled lol because it’s only me

Alright I genuinely need help figuring out why party chat isn't working for me on cloud streaming

So im not muted obviously I would see the mute symbol over my profile picture. I've enabled microphone use on game pass but it isn't working but what doesn't help is that there isn't a setting to just turn on mic for game pass app. The only settings I have are disabled and "allow mic only when asked" but I never get asked if it can use mic so it never works.

Also depending on the controller because you can use a Bluetooth transmitter and that can work however that Said you would have to have a good controller with good connection even if that one is not Bluetooth for instance if you have a Xbox 360 controller and wanted to use on Xbox one you could by transmitting the signal however that said you would also in turn have to be aware that doing that is also not recommended by Microsoft some selves however if your just looking for a little fun and feeling the old vibes of a controller it can be fun but then again Microsoft just dose not recommend it

I have wired fiber internet connection. I do have experience with other cloud services (Geforce Now, Stadia) and so far only Geforce Now has imperceptible (to my senses) input latency but server locations in Europe that seem at least very similar to Xbox's

Hello everybody ! I was on Xbox Cloud Gaming in my browser, and I was minding something.
Does someone know, or expect, if we will be able to play to our purchased games on the MS store, to our TVs (when the apps will be released) and computer via the cloud ?
For example, I'd like to play on cloud to Assassin's Creed, to continue my progress, or Tomb Raider etc.. As NVIDIA GeForce Now is giving you the ability to play to your purchased games on PC, will it be same on XBOX ? that would be great, especially since last years, our saves are on cloud.

seeing as its in a datacenter Xcloud isnt going to know what games you own as you arent exactly logging into the console it just picks a random server and boots a game up. thats why with the browser everyone has the same games.

GeForce Now is proceeding exactly the same way. You don't play all the games you own but those compatible with. As Xbox is Xbox, I hope they'll include or extend to more and more games, present in MS Store. For example there is currently Control.. I believe Control isn't in Game Pass, or correct me if I'm wrong. However, GTA 5 is also in there, but it is currently on Game Pass. So yes, of course, the main interest is to get the Game Pass, and also bring Cloud players or larger player base to the Game Pass ecosystem, but the Remote Play's inconvenience is that it is only available on mobile apps and the feature on Windows Xbox console companions has been removed for new Series consoles

Local means you take care of the infrastructure yourself including power consumption etc. cloud services take over the upstream and hardware for you so you only have to worry about your downstream, latency.

Similar to how ppl run their own plex server vs netflix. The only issue here is that game streaming requires a bit more network knowledge for the diy part since you cannot buffer and require low latency/de-encoding times on the up and downstream

On ios/macos use default settings but updated to the latest os, disable location services on macos only in settings, for chrome make sure the chrome flag for hardware acceleration is enabled or use the latest edge, have extensions disabled (add xcloud as a web app via menu install without extensions), for the series x/dualsense controller make sure they have the latest firmware installed.
