The biggest difference between XCloud and Remote Play is that Remote Play is linked to YOUR XBox at home. XCloud can use a device (some smart TVs, an XBox, PC, mobile) to connect to an XBox on a server and right now mostly needs Game Pass Ultimate (unless you're playing Fortnite).

When and if XCloud comes out of Beta, that might change and become a standalone purchase, but nobody knows for sure.

It's been in beta for several years and I don't see it coming out anytime soon. lol Plus I have my doubts that it will be removed from Ultimate. It may just be similar to EA Play in that you can purchase it by itself OR get the better deal of subbing to Ult.

I finally decided to buy the game and install it after my internet was out for a while today
When i launched the game now it is making me start from the beginning

I still see my progress on Xbox.com/play > manage games

I can no longer launch cloud gaming now that the game has been installed

On cloud gaming it does show playable on PC

I do see resync change saves with the Xbox network but I’m not sure if I should click that as I believe that will override my cloud gaming progress
