7700k was once a beast, and now it’s still good. But it’s a far cry from modern flagship, even zen1 would be significantly legacy compared to just 2 and 3

Hey all. Anyone having issues with their Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows with Windows 11? Windows detects the adapter, and when I manually click search for Xbox devices in the Windows menu the light starts blinking on it, but no matter what Xbox accessory I try and connect it just cannot find it - it doesn't show up in the list in Windows nor does it connect via just pressing the buttons. They both just keep searching. Have tried several controllers and two wireless headsets (Xbox wireless) all of which worked previously. Is this a common win11 issue?

Of the short time I played some Halo Infinite it was solid and my system is on the high end too but much less RAM and half of the storage (1TB). CPU is likely weaker than your i9 being a Ryzen 5 5600X and I have 32GB DDR4 running at 3600MHz and a 6800 XT. Also set to maxed settings and was getting over 100 FPS most of the time I believe at 1440p.

Check for Windows Updates, or driver updates. My laptop has had issues with this on Windows 11. Either check for updates or try turning off and on the bluetooth in settings. If that doesn't work, reboot your machine.

Its mainly to do with the drivers for the controller installing, and it sometimes fails. I think its a bug in Windows 11

it shows a menu there

you can download the app from the windows store, just look up xbox

and login to the same account as the windows account

go to halo mcc and then press install, and then it should show a menu to download to a different drive

I've been sticking to windows 10 lately. Don't think gaming performance sees much, if any improvement between the two OS. If anything though windows 11 has had some serious issues that have only recently been fixed (within the last month or so) or being worked on

Most notable two I'm aware of is the Ryzen issues (fixed now I believe and SSD (NVMe only, I think) speeds (fix coming in the new year)

higher yields on lower end chips means they could do more volume early on

I was always under the impression 42-48" was the sweet spot for 4K. Like how 27-32" appears to be 1440p's sweet spot. The whole pixel density thing but the short time I gave my LG a go with my PC it was kinda strange lol

only game I tried on it at the time was Far Cry 6 and it looked stunning but I was quickly reminded I was no longer gaming at 1440p 😱

They can work without a sub,
But,
Even a cheap £40-£50 sub will greatly improve the sound.

It substantially takes away the need for the bar / speaker to handle the lows & increases the clarity / quality of everything else the speaker can focus on

This was evident when I ran my Arc for a few days without the sub

Like the Sub was unbelievable.
And it just elevated the bar even more.

However, if you want to, at first, you can easily run a good quality bar without one & add it in later as an upgrade as the bar itself will provide multiple times over quality from TV speakers.

I Have just got Age of Empires 3 for PC. When I try & launch it, my PC pretty much crashes & starts to run like a 1997 computer. And the game doesn't launch. I've waited 15 minutes now to see if anything happens, but nothing happens. I managed to open task manager & the game is on there.

ok, yeah that is similar and I done that. Weird thing is the Arc supports Atmos but I can't seem to properly select it on the Xbox. The Dolby Access app side of that is all done and ready to go so idk if there is anything I'm missing or somehow, despite the Arc supporting Atmos there is some kind of awkward compatibility issue between the Arc and console. Shows up just fine on the Sonos app when watching a stream using the built in apps on the TV that supports Atmos so it really has me fearing it is compatibility related 😦
