I've put about 12 hours into it already. There is a TLDR summary at the end....
If you like... The Star Wars "underworld" vibes. It has some merit. Walking through a cantina and leaning up on a bar to overhear people talking about some hidden treasure or something... Meeting a contact in a back alley that has a job to steal something. Trying to balance working for different criminal factions, without pissing the others off too much. All these things are, fantastic. And the setting and tone is perfect.
Then there are the missions, which are a little less interesting. Missions are fairly standard. Go here and steal this, free this captive, get the data etc. the game wants you to use stealth, but you don't HAVE to in most missions. The shooting is, fine. It's pretty standard soft cover 3rd person shooting. (It's made by the people that made Division, so the shooting feels fine). You have your little pet to fetch things, hit out of reach switches, distract people, attack people... It can do quite a lot.
Space battles are fairly boring IMO. The movement is janky and it seems like an afterthought. Luckily, it kind of is, and you don't do it much.
Open world activities are... Exactly the things you would expect from a Star Wars Ubi game. Find treasure, protect people from scavengers, steal information from faction bases, fetch things for random people...
It's worth playing if you like the Star Wars setting. Kay is.... Well, for me she is charming, but I could see some people being annoyed with her. At least at the start of the game, she is doing this thing where she pretends she knows what people are talking about, but it is SUPER obvious she doesn't. It's kinda funny. Cause everyone she does it to, you can tell they are like, yeah.... Sure Kay.
TLDR. It does a good job immersing you in the locations in cities and conversations. Combat is.... Eh. It works but it's pretty standard 3rd person stealth/shooting.
