The last of us 2 gameplay is one of the best out there.

Very smooth animations and sound effects, but the story is quite meh in my opinion.

Uncharted 4 was pretty awesome, and the last of us 1 is considered one of the best games ever to alot of gamers, and no need to mention original crash bandicoot games.

There's only a very small handful (like maybe 10) of enhanced games that can be played on an external drive and you can find the list online. It's really not super worth looking into or relying on, if I'm honest.

Getting approval for patches on XBox is a longer process then other platforms. They're almost always behind.

Ring of Pain is a great example. The last time they got updated on XBox, they were 2 or 3 updates behind the PC version.

Officially finished the game. The game was intended to be an “immersive cinematic linear game” so yes if you’ve played the first Hellblade I you know what you’re expecting. I’d categorize HB2 under an action tell tale like Plague Tale games. But even so HB2 is on its own league just because of the graphical fidelity and storytelling combo. Ninja Theory did a banger with this one

Personally I thought the game was far too short. While I wasn't wanting a 40+ hour epic slog, a solid 20 hour game would have been appreciated and what I had initially expected with the long development time and increased budget compared to the first game.

I enjoyed the combat. It felt nicely responsive and had some nice brutality to it, but it happened too infrequently. But with the combat being as limited as it was mechanically, perhaps it would have outstayed its welcome in a longer adventure.

Some more variety with the puzzles would have been nice too. They felt too much like puzzles for the sake of puzzles and despite the new types, they still boiled down to find three things and move on. It felt forced and too much like artificial longevity in a short game.

That being said, I enjoyed the game a lot. Visually stunning, superb audio work and fun gameplay overall. Just too little of it.

I agree with everything you said. And I believe the reason it is short is because the game itself is extremely difficult to make. Ninja Theory being able to make this game with its current length deserves all the praise they can get imo. Their vision was to make the best look game visually. Pure fidelity. So I understand why there was a tradeoff with more gameplay mechanics.

This should be a good start tho. The devs are capable so we just need to support them to make better sequels for Hellblade and hopefully tech in future will help make it more efficient and easier for them

Obisidian and PlayGround are both my personal favorites within XGS, but depending on how they ship their next game, I might position them a little higher on my rankings.

Conker I would say is actually the easiest in the collection. Considering how linear they made the achievements. You have the option to use cheat codes to just beat the game (why would you?)

If I made a list of the top ten hardest achivement lists to complete 100%, Rare Replay is probably the 4th or 5th, considering you have to complete 30 games, half of which are seperate titles under Xbox 360. If you did complete these 360 games, you do unlock quite a majority of the achievements

Halo MCC by far has got to be the most difficult.

I would say for the other hardest titles, one of them has to be a Gears title (probably Gears 5), State of Decay 2 (they have seperate 200h achivements that pursue similar but different goals), GTA 5 (multiplayer portion does add difficulty. and the story mode is expansive)

I'm gonna personally say it's a mixed bag this generation.
Games are coming out at a trickle this gen simply because there's so much more complexity involved, and much more development time needed. Early this gen a lot of games were also coming out on last gen too, so current gen titles from that time are available on previous consoles, and are really only enhanced on newer devices.

"Should I buy the new stuff" is a deceptively complicated question when you consider that the previous gen console you own still works fine and runs the games you own, alongside having a solid chunk of newer titles from that in-between period where games were coming out on both. XGS has already killed off development for titles on last gen but some 3rd parties are apparently still working with the hardware in mind, but even that is decaying quickly (iirc Assassin's Creed Shadows and other Ubisoft titles will release without previous gen support).

Ultimately if what you have is still playing what you want and you're perfectly happy, you have to determine if replacing it with a new device is a worthwhile decision, especially if you have bills to pay and mouths to feed.

you're assuming that 100% of the pc player base use game pass, that is not the case.
then if you cut out that whatever % is out of day 1 release, you're just losing money because most pc players don't want another plastic box just to play a game knowing it will eventually come to pc.
