so when you get far away, nanite recalculates the required polycount
so windows can become amorphous blobs
there's a lot of cheats they took to achieve their look, but the point of the tech is showcasing it within normal viewable ranges
since there aren't any baked lighting or standard lightpoints
it's entirely lit by emissive
(which is a first for gaming thanks to ray-tracing)
since normally at night in games, there's a glow due to skybox lighting, which makes everything more visible and brighter, due to there needing to be a global light source
that's entirely absent in that tech demo. the sky is pitch black, and the only lights are from the moon, and the windows and lightposts
