Going to compare two screenshots, curious to see how well it is picked up on but in game sharpening looks over sharpened or maybe it is just me.

I'd say the in game sharpening looks over sharpened. Not entirely sure RIS is active but if it is its far more subtle than the in game option. I'd likely need to compare a non RIS image to check for that though. I'm not so sure tbh. Found it to be too sharp. Even tried Dark's suggestion dropping it to 75% to reduce the noise introduced and that didn't do much for it either. I'll probably try another area, see if I can get RIS to show off what it can do as I do beleive it works but the effect, as I mentioned a few days ago is far more subtle than the in game sharpening option and doesn't add any noise

Honestly the battle between protecting work and defacing your own art is one where nobody wins so I basically just assume any photographer who's made a watermark has already wrestled with that and leave them be.

i hate having a watermark either way but ive had to do my own copyright compliants about things similar to this

its also just a pain to do a few hundred and selectively selecting where logically a watermark should be

so i tend to just do a white, normal font one, since i usually deal with things in nature, in winter id do black

adobe has a thing which auto adds a watermark in a position you set yourself, so i tend to just do that

not much can be done with people just cropping and whatnot, just gotta fight them off as you see them, which is easier when i have licensing on images, so at least on discord i use watermakrs, on other sites, they generally have protections in place anyway
