But yeah, XCG is not meant for super high quality gaming. Things are likely to be scaled back so people's internet can actually keep up. It already takes a ton of data to run at max-ish quality (a single session could take several gigabytes already).

So I was lucky enough to have every Pokemon card released since they first came out in 1999. I collected them to about 4th Gen.

Then, me being me, I sold them all, this is tens of thousands of pounds/USD worth for a nice sum of £99 on eBay at the time they were literally rock bottom for value, and I moved on to going to University.

Fast forward like 12-15+ years and they recently released the Original 151 Set - and I had ZERO interest in Pokemon cards since I sold my 20+ binder collection.

Now it turns out that I had cards in my collection worth £20,000 EACH which is about $25,000 each. And I had so many. I had ever since card of the original years.

So the 151 set, coupled with some up to date research and looking back at every single release to date, got me back into it collecting them, now as an adult.

All these cards are ones I’ve bought as singles and are from various sets released since 1999, although I’ve focused on the newer ones which are more to my liking ☺️

I appreciate the appreciation because it was ridiculously hard to keep on top of it. I didn’t know too much or care about money being a kid, but my parents could see I would spend HOURS meticulously opening packs, with plastic gloves on, and carefully taking out each card to place it in my binder 😅

And for 4 generations I bought packs & cases and then organised them, displayed them and would flick through them looking at EACH card and appreciating it.

Helldivers 2 is a lot of fun. It’s definitely tougher if you play by yourself, though. Luckily, you can join randoms. The outfit came with the deluxe edition. I have a lot more swag than the other players.

There's some very nice graphical improvements in the Tomb Raider remaster (only checked the first game so far). Different enough to appreciate the upgrade, while still retaining that classic look.

I do appreciate being able to instantly switch between original and upgraded graphics. However, I wish that it was on the select/view button instead of start/menu because I press it every time I want to pause.

But yeah, it seems like a really impressive and faithful remaster with some modern improvements, and I really appreciate that.

The modern controls are nice for the movement instead of tank controls, but they are not good for combat. You can't lock on the same as you did in the original and dodge and often end up facing away from the enemy and lose the lock.

Also, the camera is janky as hell and constantly gets stuck on walls or flips out if you try and turn it while in a corner and makes you screw up jumps by turning when you move.

Ah, yeap, I was wondering if the camera still had the same jank, because god damn was it wild in the first game.

They did what they could in the originals because you only had a d-pad for movement and no analogue sticks existed, so you kinda learned to live with it.

If you're in an open area it works well enough with the analogue sticks, but indoors or small areas it's pretty bad and I've actually had to switch back to original tank controls to get through certain parts because the free camera is a jankfest.

I understand that completely fr though, it can be expensive to get cards graded depending on where you choose. I have about a hundred cards I need to get graded and I only have one graded card and it’s a PSA 10 Lost Abyss Giratina.

I wanted a sequel to Valiant Hearts for so long. I was gutted when one was announced as a Netflix mobile exclusive, but so happy to finally see it come to Xbox today.

Such a beautiful game. Wonderful story, in contrast to the horrible events it depicts and superbly presented.
