New games are added each month, while others are removed from the service.

Once your Game Pass subscription ends, you can no longer play the games unless you either buy them to keep or resub to Game Pass, like Netflix.

You also technically have access to the games included with Xbox live gold, which you can claim every month I believe (they stay in your game library, rather than being on subscription)

If you have Ultimate, yes. But only the OG Xbox and 360 games are yours to keep. You lose access to the XB1 games if your sub expires.
