Xbox game pass can give you discord nitro. I've never seen it not give nitro but I think its just a chance.

And if you buy discord nitro it can give you game pass ultimate, game pass for console, or game pass for pc.

If you don't want to play Gears 1 - 3 (and Judgement), you're better off starting with 4. That is the start of a new part to the story.

yeah that might be not the best solution since we don't live in the same house ( I trust him of course). You mean each time he would need to log has my account so playing together on a gamepass PC game would not be possible with two seperate account (without puchasing the title fully for him)

there is only 2, one that just for Game Pass.. and Ultimate, which gets you EA Play, Android Xcloud streaming, Game Pass for PC and Console and you get Gold too

you would need Xbox Live Gold for Multiplayer, the best value is Ultimate if you want all the other services and access to 504 titles. bear in mind Games leave Game Pass as they are contract based, but 1st party stay in.

so obviously you have the ps5 for all cross platform games. gamepass (&Ultimate) is much more valuable on xbox than PC imo. Which isn't to say that its not valuable on PC, but its just so much more so on xbox

But if you have all of the ps5 exclusives and cross platform games, the marginal value of the xbox ecosystem starts to decrease. But I suppose a lot depends on if xbox has a bunch better exclusives this generation from all the acquisitions

The $1 deal is always a thing. What changes occasionally is how much time they give you for the $1, or whether there are additional things included like Spotify, Nitro etc.

The payment method is for when the three months ends. You can turn off the auto-renewal after setting it up if you don't intend to pay for it.

Yes, you keep all of your progress if you buy a game on Game Pass. Also since Sea of Thieves is a first party title it will likely never be removed from Game Pass but I know it was just an example game.

There is no 'Ultimate PC', only 'Ultimate'.

Game Pass Ultimate includes Game Pass for console, Game Pass for PC, Xbox Live Gold, cloud streaming to Android and EA Play for console (PC coming in 2021).

Usually the console will last for four years until a mid gen refresh with nothing new software, just a bit better hardware. Then around 3-4 years later is when the next gen releases. The Xbox Series S and X aren’t going anywhere for a while

No, you will still have your save file.
