I dont play on PC much either, but that would be upto you, if you want to pay monthly for Xbox Live and Game Pass. instead of one payment

many people took the offer which is still available for new users in certain regions where if say you bought 12 months of Xbox Live and then got the Ultimate for $1/£1 or whatever the price is, then it would convert the months you have into an Ultimate sub. so you would have 13 months before you need to carry on paying again.

that only works as a first time conversion after that you are on a different rate which is noted in the pinned messages there is a chart available.

Any game with Xbox Live integration will store your save games in the cloud. Anything else is dependent on the game and how it handles save files. You'll need to Google that to see if save games are removed when the game is uninstalled.

The agreement probably ended and they decided to extend it, but had to make a new agreement first.

Also, it was added back around the time Division 2 came out, so they may have wanted to push people towards the sequel by getting them interested in the first one.

So Im trying to play Sea of Thieves on the Xbox app for PC and it isnt working. Ive tried powershell, uninstalling and reinstalling the game through the app and the store, and I dont know what to do. When I download the game it downloads normally for a few seconds, instantly finishes and when I launch it it launches and shows the starting screen, sits there for a few second not showing anything, then closes.

@fleet spindle i’m not sure your time zone but I’m central time and usually I start looking for said game that I want to download from Game Pass normally at about 10 to midnight I’ve gotten quite a few games that way early but you have to search the game in the Xbox store but again that all depends on the game

@snow hemlock if you can and think you'll be playing most months, it's better value to take advantage of the xbox live upgrade as that does a 1:1 conversion first time you do it (not sure if you can on a lapsed account that's done it before)

Anyone having the no region ping problem when starting fallout 76 from the xbox beta app? I have to manually change the place of a file EVERY time i start the game because of this, anyone has a fix for this??
