There's not one single person who makes this decision. There's a whole team who analyse the market trends, finances, the costs of what it costs to get the games on Game Pass from publishers, the demands that players are making for more and bigger/better games etc and then at some point they come to an agreement that the price has to go up and it does.

They'll do what they can to avoid it, or try to add a little extra to the service to help soften the blow, but the price would go up regardless of those things being added.

just an fyi to anyone thats stupid like me: be careful what you're purchasing through gamepass. heres the tldr: i bought the ultimate edition stalker 2 upgrade but i guess not the actual full game. i still feel like the wording of it was slimy, but sure enough when my ultimate timed out bc i unsubbed with the price increase, i lost that upgrade. microsoft refunded me and i just bought the game outright (on sale, so i got it for cheaper than if i had to have bought it seperately) but my point is, be careful and read what it is your purchasing, and if its tied to gamepass. they pump out sales and deals like theres no tomorrow, but alot of them are tied to you having a current GP sub.

Core and Premium are my back-and-forth, yeah, Ultimate doesn’t feel worth it atm, usually Premium for the summer n spring since I don’t leave the house much in those seasons apart from work (pollen is pain and i burn easy, Fitzpatrick Skin Type One so) and then Core for Autumn/Winter since I won’t burn in the sun if I go out for walks for these times and pollen usually lower

Wow so you definitely have expirience with both. I do play Fortnite but I just found myself being subscribed for awhile but not really playing the day one games or really digging into the library. I do want to go back and play assassins creed (some of the old ones) but other than that I just play online and the occasional game pass game. Also don’t stream. Think I might just stick with premium so I have the option to have a good selection of games if I need it. Man it’s expensive to be a gamer these days.

I can’t remember many Switch 2 games to be honest, but I’m hoping they do a Dragon Quest IX remaster on that console and for Xbox since they’re doing a remaster of one or two of the older ones than the ninth one, also idk if Final Fantasy XV is on Switch 2 but I enjoyed the hell out of that on my xbox

It is saying my only option is to Subscribe to play with Cloud or to buy it. If it's the Xbox Ally X, it doesn't come with 3 months of Ultimate though, it has 3 months of PC Game Pass instead. That will convert to Ultimate when redeemed, but you'll get less than 3 months from it.

Pc gamepass. The only option it gives me for every game is subscribe to play with cloud. Any help?

To add on, when you click that subscribe button, it specifically says these titles are available with the Pc gamepass tier.
