I downgraded my subscription from Ultimate to Console as I was not seeing value on it for years.

I'm trying to check on BO6 but I cannot play because apparently Game Pass for Console no longer allows multiplayer, I was able to play the Beta just fine.

EDIT: I checked Microsoft Website and GP for Console is gone.
Now it's only Core, Standard and Ultimate.
Via XSX tho, Ultimate is the only option you have 😒

CD Keys is probably the safest of the non-sanctioned sites you can purchase from, but I wouldn't trust any site that isn't sanctioned by Microsoft, entirely. Things like Eneba, CD Keys, etc. can be known for selling stolen codes and trial codes. If you really want a game, just wait for a sale at Microsoft or a store like Amazon, imo.

Various reasons.

It will stop people buying cheap codes and stacking 20 years worth, which means they then lose money if price increases happen.

It also avoids them running into issues if they choose to change or discontinue part of the service. Such as Console Game Pass which was recently discontinued for new subs.

And it protects the user too. People do stupid things with their accounts or forget the email address/password used for it and can't get in again. If they stacked 20 years of Game Pass, that's a lot of money they've lost.
