1. I can get Gamepass Core even if my last subscription was Ultimate (2 years ago I think)?

2. If yes, then I’m planning to get GPC 12 months > $1 GPU 2 weeks trial. From my understanding I will get 8 months of GPU from this right?

My question, will I still be charge for the $16.99 monthly renewal or can I opt out of that? Since I can get codes online for cheaper.

3. If the above all working properly, can I go back to GPC after the 8 months ended, and repeat the same step? Or will I be stuck on GPU already?

Game Pass Console does not give you access to online multiplayer, so as long as the game you're trying to play doesn't require it, you should be fine.

PCs don’t tend to have frame caps as they can be extremely powerful but with consoles, they have set internals and specs

I play at around 30 or 40fps currently because I love the games so much, I can't imagine it at 60 FPS it will be incredible

If not, is it possible to log in to a second microsoft account on my xbox (there is a main user logged in with the game pass ultimate account), buy the game for that account while the main account also is logged in?

Yes, you can buy it on your main account and it will be playable on Xbox and PC.

You can't play the same game with the same account on two devices.

You can launch it on your PC with your account, then launch it with a second account on the console but not at the same time with the same account.

Core has a different set of games, so yeah you would need to get the same sub to carry on playing

so basically buy a month of Ultimate and time will be converted although at a 3:2 ratio

Game pass is a subscription service. While you were paying for Hltimate you could play all the games (~500) included in it. Sea of Thieves was one of those games.

When you stop paying, you no longer have access to the games. This is the same as how Netflix/etc works.

If you purchase Sea of Thieves then you can play it without an Ultimate subscription.

If a game has to be paid for, then multiplayer requires at least Core (the new name for Gold)

Regular Game Pass will not work on PC. You’d need Game Pass for PC or Game Pass Ultimate.

Based on what you’ve said, you’d be looking for Ultimate to have access to Game Pass games on both platforms.

There is no such thing as “regular game pass”
There is:

1. Core - this includes multiplayer and ~30 free games, it is mainly for console gamers
2. Console - this does not include multiplayer, but has ~400 games, it is for console gamers
3. PC - PC gamers do not need to pay for multiplayer anyway, this has ~400 games, includes EA play, and is for PC games
4. Ultimate - this has core + console + pc + Cloud Gaming + EA Play.

honestly if you're primarily/exclusively a pc gamer and don't care for perks or cloud gaming, pc game pass seems like the most bang for your buck option for that ecosystem. obviously ultimate is better overall though
