Just for extra info though, you need a card on file to sign up for the trial, and if you turn off auto-renewal it won't renew after it ends, so I'd recommend doing that.

but as you said, if you will not be playing any multiplayer at all, Game Pass for Console is an option for you that does not include any multiplayer priveledges, but allows you access to the full console catalog of Game Pass games. You won't have the PC games nor xCloud streaming access though.

Yes, you can convert Core to Ultimate. For every 3 months of Core you get 2 months of Ultimate.

I suggest buying from official sources from now on. Near-zero chance of anything going wrong that way, and even if it does, support can usually help.

Trial codes are real. They just have extra print for subscription that resellers tend to glazed over.

EA Play games usually do come out much later, you get a small trial first around 5-10 hours.. then you have to wait 6-12 months for the full game to drop into the service
