Gold is still $60/year if you buy a 12 month card.

Buying a code is not exactly a hardship.

I don't know the reasons behind removing the option to buy direct, but there are plenty of retailers that sell 12 month cards/codes.

It's on the page for the game on the Xbox App it has options to buy the game or install it but if the game is already installed the install button changes to play. It still says play even if the game has left Game Pass. What I'm suggesting is they have a seperate icon (or something similar) to say that the game is installed so that you can tell whether the game is actually able to be played and whether or not it has left Game Pass.
