No. Trial codes need a recurring payment method - that is almost always a credit card. In some places it can be a verified paypal account, and I think there might be one other option in like India. But 99% of the time it is credit card.

You don't have to buy a 144Hz one. It only supports up to 120Hz any way. But you would be better off with a 60Hz display than a 75Hz one. Unless you intend to also use for PC.

Okay, so I have a question on an oddity: In November 2021 I took advantage of that 3 months of GP Ultimate for $25 deal GameStop had. I already 12 months of Live Gold, so as expected, I got 3 more months of it for a total of 15 from the start date.

Somehow though, instead of only 3 months of GP I got 12. Obviously I’m not going to complain, but was this some error, or is it something that is normal? It’s about to finally expire in a week, although I still have some Live Gold time after that.
