I think I likely will still keep it going, but I'm definitely going ahead with the main account switch and restart. I've got more than enough easy/quick games in the backlog to knock out one or two quick achievements a day and Lucy still gets them too.

I have lost my streak so often because of screw ups in the achievement system...how are people keeping their streaks when XBOx Live goes down for 24+ hours at a time?

I've never known a time where it's gone down that long in my entire time on Xbox.

I usually make sure I grab my achievement as one of the first thing I do in the day when I sit down at my computer/TV, so it gets it out of the way just in case something goes offline, or anything else happens.

On PS I'm on a 30 day streak right now, and I thought THAT was good.

But I'm not even trying for it. That's happening because I'm popping trophies like they're candy due to 12 days of Christmas. Only one more day to finish the first boss in boss rush and I'm still around 700 HP away from ending it.

I realised this morning the Ally is going to be the perfect device to help keep my streak running on the original account and continue playing on the new account. I can just load up a quick Windows game in the morning, get my achievement and then I'm done. No more account switching which can screw with quick resume.

So I just reached 99,999 gamer score. Is there any cheap or free game I could play that could very easily get 1 gamer score, before getting any other achievement so I can be at 100,000 gamer score.

Was tempted to ask Xbox support to disable my achievements, so I could stay at 99,999, but figured might not be possible and also abit pointless

Go to https://www.trueachievements.com/xbox-achievements.aspx and open the filter. Set 'gamerscore value' to 1 and you'll get all games with achievements with 1 gs

Thanks again, found a game - Brotato. It was on the game pass just had to die got my 1gs, now comfortably sitting at 100k, i think being at 99,999 was more unique but little bit irritating it not being a ending in a 0 or 5.

They'll decline your refund request if an achievement is earned. Their reason being "We cannot refund for played games" or something like that. Don't buy a game to earn a single achievement if you plan on asking for a refund. It will backfire.

It's been delisted, so if you don't own it, the only way to get it is to find a physical copy. There was never a Series version made because Telltale was shut down and the new Telltale isn't the same as the old one.

Of course, it’s a bit of a weird issue as it’s something i’ve never actually experienced whilst playing Xbox before & i’ve been playing a while… it’s on the social page where it shows achievements etc, but basically there’s a couple of achievements on there that have essentially been duplicated so there’s more than one there (sometimes there’s only 2, but others there’s up to 10) so i’m not quite sure what caused that or how to get rid of it but it’s really annoying 😅

Big problem with Arkham City and Knight are related to challenge mode. Basically, you have to earn high scores in combat simulations, or you have to perform specific takedowns. City is worse since the game's combat system imo isn't as fluid as Knight is. The other side of that coin is City also have remixed playlists of these combat challenges with modifiers.

Knight was easier with the challenge mode, with the DLC alone, it's more on just collecting a certain amount of starts for each character (and car), then there's completing specific levels and maps on certain conditions (flawless combo, no hits, fighting Killer Croc)

Just completed achievement hunt #59 with Afterimage. Very fun game.

The movement is fast and enjoyable, the combat is fun, gorgeous art style, it's decently challenging (to the point I was treating it as though it were a dark souls game, taking each boss fight slow to properly learn them). Highly recommend it for Metroidvania fans.

Had an issue with achievement as well for a long time, had to eventually hook up my Xbox to my mobile network with a VPN on a Brazil server and then game off of that. Even then the achievement didn't pop until after 20+ wins.

Yep, tried on and off for two years until I googled and found out the achievement has a much bigger chance of actually unlocking if you are on a Brazilian server or are playing in a party with a Brazilian host. So I used expressvpn on my phone, shared the mobile data/wifi to my Xbox and still then it took a lot of wins to make it unlock.

I usually do either that or PSNTrophies. Mainly PSNTrophies Guides only bc its catalogs each trophy where I know what are considered "co ops", "difficulty specific", "grind", "buggy", etc, or anything that helps me determine if a trophy for the game is even worth it. It even tells me a difficulty rating for the "platinum" (or 100% the base game, different from doing the DLC), and time it takes to get there

I usually avoid completing games that are super long, are VERY focused on online (or have a super difficult online achievement), or incredibly difficult (DMC, Gears, Halo), unless I'm driven to do either of these.

Aside from that, I usually play through games I have an active interest in.

Also, I finally completed Fallout 4 GOTY Edition, immediately after I finished the season finale for S2.

Yeah on Xbox 360 there's a Japanese version that has a different stack of achievements, and it doesn't have the claptrap dlc lol but if you play it on the One or Series it will have all the DLC in that version so u don't gotta worry about buying the dlc just get a physical copy eazy.

you basically have to complete every activity in a Festival playlist series

that was one of the "last ones" I did prior to the post-expansion updates

or when I actually had a good chance, but I got stuck mere meters from the finish line from some cement tree, or a pebble.

The collision with certain objects in the game is NOT fun

I always have a worse time when the final circle ends around the mountain.

And those in the Middle East are at work.

Though less likely, you will definitely have lesser players on all four platforms, giving you a significant chance to win.
Never do it on Fri - Sun, try the weekdays.

The worst of it is I unlocked all of the achievements in FH4. I'm struggling severely with 5. either my forza skills are rusty, or just bad luck

Yup, well 5.5 ~ 7.5 hours from now.
It's a very narrow time window where the servers are not populated as in the other periods of the day.

This is an example from Steam charts for FH5
As shown in the chart, it dips between from the next two hours till well 7.5 hours where it reaches 10K.
Just assume that the combination of all four platforms will lead to a general lower player count than in other periods of the day.

Right now, I would suggest being observant, narrow down the time window that would work for you based on the players in the lobby.
Around this time period, you'll probably noticed the same players if they have been in your lobby previously and if they have been consistently winning - try to avoid them. It's a lot harder now, but can be done.

Alternatively, you could opt in a FH5 session as stated in the walkthrough.
