The win streak is easy to maintain. If you run out of moves, just quit the game out to the dashboard and load it up again. You don't automatically fail the game when you run out of moves.

Why do so few games achievements actually track progress?

Seems the only games that track practice are some first party Xbox games like Halo and that

it started out with 360, Arcade titles were only 200G, then I believe they got upped to 400G later on cant remember exact date, and then again to 1,000G hence why everyone has such high gamerscores..

but yeah I dont know that part who picks the score itself. I know some games they got community people to help build achievements and scores.

they create the achievement name, description, earned description, amount, art, and whether it's secret. either they or Xbox generate those achievements (not sure exactly who) and once that's done, they can grant those achievements in their game code

I believe the achievements are added to a developer portal where the title ID is generated (for the game). Each achievement also has an ID which would be generated on the Dev portal as achievements are added. In the code, the achievement works as you described.

I played Radioactive Dwarfs for the first time, no not to actually play it. I got it to get all the achievements which by the way, you can do by just holding up on the D-Pad, theres some sort of glitch where you complete the game by holding up and since it thinks you beat the game, you get all the achievements. Aswell as 1000 Gamerscore.

The developers decide what the achievements are, how many GS each should give, etc. But there are also some guidelines to follow per platform. Sony for example blocks (or at least up till 2018 used to block) games with achievements that would unlock without any player interaction
