Literally impossible nowadays.

There are some...incredible number of achievements that are A, broken, B, not unlockable due to service shutdown, or C, were so poorly thought out that they might as well be considered unobtainable to everyone but the richest people.

GRAW, if I remember correctly, is an example. There's achievements for hitting the top of the leaderboards.

Suffice it to say, you need multiple consoles, and you need to AFK for weeks to get those achievements.

To be honest, I disagree with multi-player achievements full-stop. I hate them. It always seems to rely on luck, not skill. Not to mention if the services get shut down, no achievements for you.

Happened to my friend with World of Tanks on 360. He was so close to 100%, but then they up and shut the servers off without sending out any notice.

I both like hand hate multiplayer ones, I play a lot of MP so it’s cool but they should atleast be fixed for shutdown or atleast be relatively good and not super odd like snipe a player on 150m on rust withput dying for the whole game

I hate "do this without dying" achievements just as much as I hate online only achievements.

There's one game I know of for sure that I can't 100% because of "without dying" achievements. I just can't remember the name off hand.

As close to 100% as I'm getting for this one. The final three achievements I need aren't unlocking even after like 5 partial playthroughs and one full playthrough (all of which got me to the point where those should have popped.)

Hard to say how long. I've been playing it on and off since it came out and it often sat paused while I was working and stuff.

A few of the achievements were pretty tedious. The firehouse without the scaffolding, the carousel without turning off the power were two that were a little annoying.

Well this sucks, a rare 75 pt achievement in Raji is bugged for me

Got all the favour orbs in that game - including buggily getting the achievement specifically for that before I should've been able to unlock it. Somehow I spawned with 3 extra orbs when selecting level checkpoints

But the achievement for the favour orbs in the 3rd level is stuck at 80%

Only way to fix is to start a new save... No thanks. Maybe if a super duper enhanced edition came out on another platform or was Play Anywhere again, would I want to replay for a third time. Sheesh

That level I mean... Already replayed it to see of it would trigger.

This is why I stopped hunting achievements. It can get boring and sometimes doesn't work. Lol

The hardest achievement I've ever done was having to do a level in any game without dying.

That could be any of the "Do this level without dying" achievements in the Lego games or really any game ever. I couldn't tell you a specific achievement.

Superhot Hercules achievement because one of the challenges was to run through all the levels without dying and that was an absolute pain

Van - water challenge
Van - time challenge
Dirt bike - time challenge
Golf cart - time challenge
Stunt plane - time challenge

When you're getting close to the end of the time (on a timed challenge) or water amount (on the water challenge), pause the game and do a manual save using the save button in the upper-right.

Then click on the Locations or Vehicles button (depending on which one you're doing), then select the job you're in and 'Resume Job'. The timer or water counter will be reset, but your progress will be where you were up to.

DLC is very rarely included in Game Pass. There have been a few exceptions, but it's usually just games owned by XBox Game Studios (Like Dishonored: DE, Ori: DE and a few others I can't remember.)

blizzard has really dropped the communication ball regarding ow2 (naming it ow2 really doesn’t help), and ow does have its place in the original conversation. there’s old archives missions that list doing uprising in “hard” mode when really it’s in expert because when the achievement was created, there were only three difficulty modes. Uprising itself is pretty outdated but that’s a topic for another time 🤭

Ow2 (oct4th) is just gonna become ow1. You’ll still have the things from ow1 like cosmetics/currency and you’ll be getting the new ow2 stuff

They added more achievements with the series 10 update, and then again with the Hot Wheels Expansion.

There's two that didn't unlock for her actually. One is quick enough to do and would take only a minute in freeplay (we tried a few times with no luck yesterday), but the other will take maybe an hour or so. It's the one for doing the hand statue with only the white nozzle, which is a pain.

Nope, the one where you need to get the team co-op bonus is only possible if both members of the team are on the same system. I had an issue where the co-op kill bonus didn't pop as my teammate was on a XB1. It popped later when I teamed up with someone on a X360.

For 100% completion, you need to play it multiple times anyway. There's an achievement for maxing out every character.

Xbox Live Arcade games used to be limited to a certain amount, and only non-arcade games were allowed to have 1000

There's actually a few XBLA games that have 1,000 or more gamerscore.

They changed the rules back in 2013 or 2014. Geometry Wars and Guacamelee were one of the first XBLA games to get 1,000.

It will use the achievement time so it’s fine to not scan after each one. As long as you know which achievement you’re going for next.

But you can manually enter the search url and amend the letter in it to check different letters.

I unlocked several between some scans.

No. The achievement will likely become unobtainable unless the developers release an update which changes the unlock conditions of the achievement. That's very rare.

dont mind grindy ones as usually they go quick. like Midnight Fight Express has one for 4000 enemies still early into the game but there are loads of levels shouldnt take long to unlock

Missable collectables really suck. If you can just go back at any point and collect everything, I'm fine with that. I also really like if the game has some built in way of you finding out where they are, like at some level you unlock a collectable detector.

Ever play Gone Home, Green? I call it a speedrun, but it's way less complicated than anything else by that name. It just involves running straight through the house, grabbing the key and going to the end.

Once you complete the game normally, it's trivial. I just must be a few seconds too slow.

I like the hardest difficulty achievements. I go for them first whenever possible so I can see the achievement programming unlock the lower difficulties at the same time, due to logical defaults. It's hilarious
