Yes. Because AI has zero artistic integrity and just feeds off of other people's work to "create" things. And AI data centers are godawful for the environment. And the filter butchers the art styles of the games it's used in.

though I wouldn't really recommend it (due to pricing) I would try and get the 5070 Ti as that is the direct competitor to the 9070 XT and go no further as the 5080 is only around 10-15% faster (while costing quite a bit more proportionate to the value of the 5070 Ti) and then you are talking $3500+ for a 5090 I think

on one hand those on older Nvidia GPUs may be able to avoid DLSS 5 entirely due to the Neural Rendering thing but may then end up getting sucked into the eventual adoption from developers of DLSS 4.5 which will reduce performance in games for those using either an RTX 20 or 30 series GPU as they lack support for FP8. Currently it is an Nvidia app override but I have spotted some games adding support natively (in game) for it now such as Diablo 4

360 and PS3 was so close that I can't definitively say which one was better, objectively or subjectively
I don't like the direction Sony took during the PS4 era but that's just me. Either way I do feel consoles need exclusives and some fanboyism/console wars for the sake of hype and marketing as long as it doesn't go beyond passive aggressive. Same thing with Mac vs PC or Android vs iPhone.
Either way Sony pulled out of PC ports, probably because of the ram crisis giving them a prediction that they're won't be a point to porting to PC for a while since new gamers won't be able to afford building them for the time being, as much as I wish Xbox would go back to having exclusives I can only hope the next step they make project helix doesn't completely kill the identity of what it means to be Xbox

Shovelware doesn't mean "quick and easy games for gamerscore". It's basically defined as games like "My Name Is Mayo" where you only have to repeatedly press one button in order to unlock all achievements.
People literally (quite stupidly, I might add) refer to as VNs as shovelware ...some VNs are /really/ good and definitely not shovelware.

The external HDD I use for backups and stuff on my Mac was on the way out. Randomly making clicking sounds and failing to load or move files.
Bought a brand new one. Transferring data kept failing, so I had to start copying almost 5TB of data file by file, so I didn't have to mess around and find out how far into the copy process it failed each time.
Two days later, the new HDD is clicking more than the old one and doesn't show up on my Mac at all. 😩
