hey chat, I was wondering if someone could help me with this annoying issue that happens on my xbox? I have a series s, and I've been using a 1tb usb external hard drive plugged into the back of the console and sometimes I get spammed with notifiactions that it's connected. Tonight it's like every 10 minutes. Sometimes I have to restart the console and it will stop but sometimes it just doesn't stop.

I could probably afford something xbox brand next month...but I was hoping there was something I could do to make it less annoying or just stop at all.

Yea I can (have the Xbox one charge and play kit cable etc) but atm we only have 1 left (all keep breaking somehow) and my brother needs it for his controller (he has a controller model that doesn't have Bluetooth and has to use it for his pc) and only mine has Bluetooth so I use mine with Bluetooth mode and his with the cable. And the usb adapter don't have yet. So the only options is Bluetooth for me and cable for my brother for the cable. Not sure if his controller would work on the adapter or not

It is a lot of fun. It’s also very much a Toriyama game, so you should use that to judge how much you might like it. More so than Dragon Quest, even. It isn’t the best RPG I ever played but the system allows for a lot of interesting skill combinations.

Another thing I find super interesting of that series, it's very clear that, while the Final Fantasy series evolved to adjust its styling and gameplay to modern standards (for better or for worse, especially with its evolution to combat systems), Dragon Quest tries to make a clear point of NOT modernizing many of its systems. Menus remain the same as they've always been. The "battle won" chime is still as 8-bit sounding as it's always been. Character progression is still good old classic JRPG.

And instead it modernizes the game with its visuals and some quality of life improvements to the formula. The music gets some updates.... sometimes 😛 Depends on how the composer feels about it that morning.

That one is to me the series pinnacle of storytelling. The points you make about the series remaining rooted in the past are well observed. It is a huge nostalgia series for many Japanese adults. As for the composer... well... I can't say anything nice.

I've wanted to build a collection of just 3DS stuff. and I mean getting a legit new 3DS system (not "new" new, just the New line. the 2nd gen version of the system), and a bunch of games, a mix of stuff I missed out on, and stuff I had

I will skip ports on 3DS, because my god, 3DS ports are the msot expensive titles produced for the system. That and third party games
