AC Valhalla lets you customize quite heavily the difficulty of combat, stealth and more independently to very minute details like how long does it take for enemies to stop chasing you.

But yeah, you can also change the settings so that each region in the map scales up in difficulty as you progress, or that they all stay a few levels below yours

Making it a battle pass isn't anywhere near as enjoyable. It's a ton of skins I won't use and it doesn't feel like earning the content. It feels more like paying for the content and then having it held at random until I've done what they want to get it.

nice! shame about the burn out of the game but after about level 80 that is where the real game begins where your character should begin to get really strong but also where the grind intensifies a lot as you are looking for specific stats on items and on top of that from level 100 you progress through the pit to masterwork gear, which requires tempering gear (a load of RNG rubbish) before that. I liked the upgrade option pre season 4. Only thing about it I don't like as all tempering and masterworking did was increase the grind
