I will say that part of elden ring will be you dying... a lot... so if you get frustrated by that then don't play it. You're supposed to learn how to beat bosses or enemies from dying to them and learning their patterns, rarely will you beat a boss or mini boss the first time you meet them

in fact the first boss is basically coded so that you lose to it, though it's technically possible to beat it

Not all services can simply push out the updates. Significantly large or complicated services which require hard switching on the backend don't always have the luxury to run them next to each other and shift users around appropriately. They also need to juggle client version and compatibility.

Bosses are pretty much the name of the game. There's no quest log and the few quests that exist are hidden with no indicators of where to go or what to do (outside of a few lines of dialog).

If you can't beat a certain boss, you can absolutely go elsewhere and try other areas, but there will be bosses and minibosses there too.

in some way you are lucky you opted for an 11th gen Intel CPU. Had you gone for something more recent (13th or 14th gen) there is an issue that Intel seem to be struggling to properly fix regarding stability of the CPUs as before they applied some measures recently motherboard vendors were left to it for a while to apply settings so extreme that it could lead to rapid degradation of the the CPU's lifespan. All got a bit messy with Intel

guys I had an idea. What if someone made a MMO without leveing, so all zones stay important after each new release, and also what if every expansion has story set in older zones as well with new quests and new mobs to fight, some new plots and stuff like that, maybe add 1 zone every 2 expansions that are linked to the story. People would progress by training spells with gold and this MMO would have very important crafting and economy (focus on economy), and gold sink with consumables because you can only pick 2 professions, you wouldnt be able to profit all time, but have gold sink on other consumables which make you much stronger for short period of time

but there is a problem for me, on gamepass 2 games crashed and these games have directx12 (halo infinitive) and vulcan which works great (wolfestein 2 the new collosus)

I like how FF XIV does it, since you can always return to older areas to level up different job classes, so they stay relevant for a very, VERY long time.

if you had this system instead of old leveling system, then all zones would change with each expansion and new story would set it. For example imagine if some horse apocalypse riders come from the sky and they mutate and change all mobs in each zone and make them their servant in some way (you would understand how they manipulate these less intelligent mobs in story) then you would immediately have new story with new looking mobs and same zones that stay important. (also crafting nodes and materials would change because for example they made the whole zone corrupt of frost and ice, like witcher 3 riders)

but you could never re-play old content because with each new expansion story changes and whole world changes

it will look better as 1.3x at ultra quality plus would be the equivalent to playing at 1440p (using an output resolution of 4K) while Balanced's new 2x would make it 1080p effective but on lower resolutions you have to work it out differently. I just used 4K as an example

you make them more powerful by making new systems. you can make basic upgrades by doing gold spending routine with your trainer like classic wow, and you can have second upgrade which upgrades your spell once when you defeat last boss of dungeon or raid or some achievement in open world. This upgrade is only once per expansion and always changes your way of playstyle. Like first upgrade can be like 3x time per spell with trainer, then second upgrade when you finish your basic upgrade you can change the way spell works or adds some other flavour to that spell.

Balancing player progression and economy in a game is incredibly hard to do, especially in an MMO scale game. A lot of dev teams have tried many different options, but... most games end up sticking with the tried and true formula because people get it, and it's what works best so far.

This is all done without ruining the story for new players who still haven't seen the old location get destroyed.
